    Hi Guys,

Not driven my car much this year and has been standing for a few months. Tried to start today and it struggled to start and noticed the the F1 warning light and the ASR warning came on and a long warning beep.

I opened the engine bay and could hear the f1 throttle clicking. The car starts but runs very rough

Has anybody got an idea what could be the problem?

Possibly a low battery, i dont have a 360f1 but if it is similar to my car and you parked it in gear and left it for a few months, then went to start it the f1 pump has to pressurise to let you put it in neutral and other electrics drained it a bit more and then when you went to start it the battery was almost dead.

A low battery causes electrics to act up.

A trickle charger/battery maintainer may, or may not, be able to bring the battery back if it has been drained... You could pull the battery and have it tested or simply replace it. If it is old (4-5+ years) you may want to just replace it as part of maintenance. Though, not sure it is a battery problem.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but if you unplugged the battery completely for a few months and then re-connected it, would it screw anything up with the electronics?

Found out its probably the ecu which is causing the problem. Its going to a dealer next week who will confirm.

Does anybody know if the ecu can be repaired?

Engine ECUs or Trans? I'm still thinking weak battery is the place to start.

Disconnect the battery, let it sit 10min, reconnect, turn key on position one, wait till check ok on dash, start the car. If it doesn't start smooth shut it off and restart immediately. If this doesn't solve the rough start, you have a bad EFI pump. If all else fails call Alex Traverso (480)-241-8877. ECU's seldomly go bad by just sitting there...
