Hello all, I was recently removing the engine bay panels on my 2001 Modena, and I accidentally stripped 2 of the screws/fasteners. I know they are Torx 15 bits but I cannot find where to order from anywhere. Help is greatly appreciated!

Do you mean pn 11 and 12 here? https://www.eurospares.com/Ferrari/360/360_Spider/PartDiagrams/141/Shields_-_Outside_Finishing

I’ve stripped so many of those stupid things.

One word of advise, don't upgrade to titanium bolts as some have done here. While they don't strip as easily, if you drop one you can't use a magnet to retrieve it so you have to pull underpanels. Ask me how I know. I'm back to factory bolts and the moment they start stripping I replace the bolt before I have to Dremel a slot into them to remove.

The originals, I believe are hex head not torx. The are readily available from a variety of black stainless steel fastener suppliers in the UK (no Ferrari tax) as well as via Ferrari parts suppliers.

SS is the same issue as Titanium. Not magnetic... So if you drop one you can't use a tool like this to find it. You will need to pull underpanels. 6 out of 5 times I remove the engine panels on my 430, I drop a screw/bolt.

I think on my CS they were 5mm and I was not able to find them on Amazon. If they are now available, that would be great.

I did allmost everything in my entire bay titanium hardware from mettic performance. Not for everyone but yes you don't want to drop a $6 bolt

Recommend Accu Fasteners in UK. I live in US and find their selection and shipping the best. I purchased black, marine quality stainless steel. A4

Bel metric is an excellent company! I am so impressed with their customer service. I recently ordered these replacements from them. Excellent 5 star customer service even though I was only ordering literally $5 worth of hardware. How much profit could they actually be making to care about me but they did! The only bad news for everyone else is that when I received the matching black oxide washers they were just slightly too small in diameter. Patricia from Bel metric went the extra mile and did this for me. Read message below. I have to say about this company that there were several people I spoke to and each and every one of them was incredibly polite and helpful even though I was buying pennies worth of material. As an employer I am very jealous that they can find so many good people to work there!

“I pulled all of the plain stainless and black stainless off the shelf and the lot number causing the problem is measuring 18.5-ish outer diameter based on sample measurements. Definitely not within tolerance.

I did have one small box of 19.8 OD plain stainless parts that would be within manufacturing tolerance for thickness and outer diameter, so we'll send those to black stainless processing next week and mail you 25 replacement samples when they arrive back at the warehouse. Going forward we may have to remove this size from our website until we can import a lot with solid dimensions.

We'll reach out with a tracking number on the samples mid-April, thanks!

    Patricia”

This is my standard suggestion to anyone who wants to bling up their engine with stainless steel and other materials that cannot be picked up with a magnet. Life is a ***** when you drop one of those into the never never land of the engine crevices.

Anyone sourced screws for this that are torx instead of Allen but otherwise the same as factory? I’d think torx are less likely to strip.

the ones on my car are Torx, after reading this thread I now know that is not factory or standard. Im assuming the previous owner replaced with torx 15 screws as I definitely dont have allen heads
