    Hello,

I was curious to know what type of material Ferrari used to coat the front end of the frame. It seems to be a rubber composite of sorts but I could not find further information on what it is or its purpose?

I am assuming it protects the welds but the rear compartment is not coated at all. Or is it because the heat in the engine compartment serves a similar effect in protecting the welds.

If anyone has information on the material, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I'm sure Steve in Ferrari of Houston's Body Shop would know.

They work on them all the time.
