    Hello,

I recently bought a set of challenge wheels that I had powdercoated. The result was not so good as the wheels were in pretty bad shape.
Therefore I'd like to fit some other wheels to my car and would like to know if the 360 Modular wheels would fit on an F355. If someone has pictures of these wheels fitted to an F355, that would also be appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    David

The offset is wrong. They will be too wide. Sorry.

For a proper fitting you should machine down the back wheels at least 10mm

Those wheels look very nice on an F355 and are very reasonably priced since a lot of 360 owners move up to 19" wheels. Here are the relevant sizes and offsets of 355 and 360 wheels. The 360 wheels will stick out ~39 mm more, but since Ferrari leaves lots of room in the wheel wells, I looks like it works if you like the full wheel well look. The fronts are a near perfect match.

I have had 360 wheels on my 355 for almost 4 years. The rears will rub a bit when the suspension bottoms out. I set the suspension to the stiff setting and leave it there, problem solved. I did go with a 215/35/18 tire in the front and it works perfect. 265/35/18 in the rear. However, that did drop the car a bit lower and steep driveways can be a problem sometimes. I get many compliments on these rims all the time.;)

Tried it...the 360 modulars wheels stick out a little too far on the back. If you want, I will sell you a perfect set of 360 modular wheels.

Thanks for the info guys, although I still haven't made up my mind yet. I think they look really stunning on Craig's car but I fear they might ruin the wheelarches (I'm not that keen of keeping the suspension in the hard settingà.

Would it be difficult to grind 10mm off the rear wheels? Is there any disadvantage with this technique?

PS many thanks for the list Terry.

    Michael: great looking car!

2coool: tempting but I'm based in Europe ...

I recently purchased my first Ferrari - 1999 F355 Spider (14,250 miles). Very happy with my new addition! However, I wanted to up-grade the wheel/tire set-up so the car will have a newer more up-to-date look/feel. I want to stay away from the 5-spoke look. I really like the Challenge Stradale wheels. What are my options? I appreciate any feedback/advice.

Unforunately, these wheels are NLA. Only hope is to find a used set :( They're finished in silver with a polished lip. Tires are 225/35/19F and 285/30/19R. Car is lowered 1" all around with no rubbing.

The set up looks great Brendan! I'm sure with the bigger rim and lowing the car the steering is precise! Thanks for the info! I'll be conducting a search and see what I can find.

BTW - there's a 1996 F355 (Yellow) Challenge on EBAY that has some really cool rims (they look after market). I really love its look! Just wondering if you knew what type of rims they are?

I recently bought a set of Modular wheels.
During the annual service the wheels were also fitted.
I had the back wheels grinded by 15mm and the fronts remained as they were.
Unfortunately I didn't have the correct bolts so in front I still have the 16mm spacers that were on the car. In the back I had to put 10mm spacers.
I need a set of 40mm bolts to omit the spacers in the back, but this will be done soon.

Anyway, attached are a couple of pictures with the weels attached.
I'm having my original wheels painted, so I can switch between the modulars and the originals from time to time.

PS unfortunately the house isn't mine.

I'm getting a set of 360 challenge rims for my F355. Noticing your suggestion to machine off 10mm for the rear, is there any reason to believe that structural integrity will be compromised by doing so? I've attached a picture of the rear wheel mating surface. Would it be safe to say that this is enough material to safely remove 10mm?

    Thanks in advance!
