    Hi,

I recently returned to my 360 in a carpark and there was a large puddle underneath and it appears that one of the front radiators has completely failed. I noticed there was no coolant in the tank and had it towed home.

I understand there is no coolant warning light/pressure indicator - so my question is if i didn’t notice this or if it happened while moving how would I have known?

If there’s no coolant I take it it won’t be able to read the coolant temperature and by the time the oil temp gets high (because there’s no coolant) is it not already too late?

Any thoughts would be appreciated as i’m a bit worried if it happens again!

Generally there will be signs of such a leak. You will smell it, you may see some steam. It may show a high temp before everything is lost. I have had several cars loose coolant and I haven't had an unknown melt down yet. Okay, I had one client ignored everything and just drove it home. Totally ruined the engine but he knew there was an issue. It was flat 12 and the spark plug extensions melted into little oval puddles in the spark plug access holes. It was really hot. Had to replace the complete engine.

A flat 12 engine cannot be cheap. Ouch.

Even in 1997, it was not cheap.
