    Hey Hey,

I been meaning to post this for awhile after seeing alot of poor efforts in Ferrari burnouts :)

This is my mates 360 Spider, around 7mths ago somewhere in a Sydney carpark ;) This is a F1 model thus the need to throw the car to start the burnout. Yes it has Tubi :D

Actually, apart from engine (pistons and rods), clutch, gearbox, diff, output shafts, drive shafts and tyres, he won't have hurt his car at all!!

If a car can't handle a burnout like that occaisionally, for fear it will blow up, or worse, devalue it, then it's not worth getting in the first place IMO.
    It's just a car....

Absolutely, Ferrari's can handle it better than many, worse than some.

But there aint no argument anywhere thats gonna convince me it's a good thing to be doing...

    It's just a frustration/fear/maturity thing...

people that do this are frustrated racing drivers, too scared by their lack of training and/or ability to take their cars to the limit on track.

If they'd just grow up, get some instruction, they could have 10 times the fun on track, and quite possibly, save money.

or maybe they're just Circus clowns.

Life would be dull without Clowns.

Stephens, the main fear on my behalf is how much does a new engine/clutch/driveshafts ect..... cost???? Thats why i said better him than me. I cant really afford a $10K plus engine rebuild because i wanted to be a hero and do a smoke run for the boys in my 348. I can,if mine does pack it in,but im not gunna help it by bouncing it off the limiter occasionally or loading up the driveshafts when you drop the clutch/ frying the clutch ect..... No worries about devaluing the car here man, just not worth the expense that goes with doin that occasionally i reckon. Maybe because this is my 1st ferrari,im not into totally thrashing the **** out of it yet. But it is just a car alright buddy, thats for sure :) The 360 spider could probably do smoke runs like that all day long..................... :(

Nope. The output shafts will break first, then the driveshafts soon after if he does it more.

I was actually being cheeky there Phil. :) No matter how strong a ferrari is,it couldnt handle doin a continous barrage of smoke runs before something(expensive) would let go! Just like any other car :(

Maybe, but only because you can't believe someone would ABUSE a car like this...

great Vids are really where we get to see great driving/racing/scenery/sounds... where the car is being used to it's DESIGN limit....

oh yeah, and crashing of course...

    Hey Mr Dee Jay....
You can only presume the owner has taken the deposit on the car this afternoon from some unsuspecting new buyer, and is taking umbrage with the car's specification to celebrate in 'style' :D

Surely you wouldnt do that to something you treasured & respected would you?? Something worth more than most houses....
