Ferrari 360 Spider red key

Hey guys my ferrari 360 spider came from the States with only one key that is black so i m guessing that is the replacement key and no manual or warranty card. I want to know what is the cheapest way of getting the red key if i want to buy it from here with the remote to unlock the car. Please advise

 

Are you in Canada, or out of North America? Can you tell us the serial number?

I'm astounded at how many cars these days come without keys and books and tools, etc.

 

Cheapest option is to clone your existing fob - have you checked out any of the many threads as you were advised by others exactly a month ago ?

 

The only way to get a red fob that works exactly the way a red fob is supposed to is by buying a complete set of replacement fobs (i.e., one red and two black). In order to make the new fobs work, you'll also need to know your original PIN (Ferrari will charge you $500 to tell you this info). It's an expensive proposition.

If you just want a spare fob (which is understandable) you can buy a used black (or red) fob and get your existing black fob cloned onto it.

 

Do you know anyone whom clones? I recently bought my 2003 360 and also only got one fob and NO alarm code. Argh. So my only choice right now is to clone my fob as I plead with the old owner and the dealer whom originally sold the car new to the first owner to try to get me the alarm code......

I am in toronto do you guys know anyone that clones key fobs or where i can purchase i dont have my alarm code is there a cheaper way out there to get that pin?

I agree. The answers are all here -- star55, why do you refuse to follow hard earned advice that's passed along to you on fchat, and why do you refuse to use fchat's search function. As for buying a used fob, why not do the same as everybody else -- namely, try eBay and try starting a specific thread on fchat asking if anybody has a used fob that you can buy.

 

thanks guys i found a red key on ebay.. who is this guy that you guys are talking abt that can cut the key for me in toronto u have his contact info (number)?

 

Did you find a red key or a red fob? If the former, any good locksmith should be able to cut the key for you. I had my local locksmith cut a new key for me he has a very good machine) and it works perfectly.

 

Bro I found a red key just no red fob any suggestions?

 

Find yourself a locksmith that deals in Medco locks (use the yellow pages for this) and get them to cut the key.
