    Hi guys,

I've trawled through old and new threads about the 360 roof issues, and none of them seem to be applicable to my issues - So if anyone can help that would be great

Basically the roof opens and closes fine, no crunching, no grinding, no slow movement, it just seems to work fine - But, it doesn't seem to close for the final 5mm or so, leaving a fairly obvious panel gap difference. It sits tight, but no external pressure by hand seems to get it to lock down further or anything. But, the main issue is that the mechanism seems to be having chunks out of the paintwork. I have only just bought the car and the first thing I did was to check the roof, yes it all seems to work, so get the roof deck painted to remove the chunks missing. Guess what, I now have those chunks back just 7 days later!

Photos attached of the areas in question, any help would be great. I have checked the fluid level and the elastic straps and seem fine

You can just about make out the chunks the roof is eating here, and the areas of the mechanism that are doing it!

Roof down, the gaps seem to be a little bigger

And the chunks again - It was on both sides too prior to paint, but currently only appeared back on one side (for now)

    Any ideas?

You have not given any idea of where you are located so whilst the recommendation is probably to get it properly looked equally it is not possible to suggest where.......

That cover is adjustable via the attachment bolts. Also check the alignment rods on the front of the cover.

Alignment issue or microswitch issue are my thoughts as well.
