My 2001 360 top got low of fluid and I had issues easing and lowering the top. I tried moving it around manually and it seems to have gotten out of sync. I closed the top with an Allen wrench because it would not close completely. So, now when I try to lower the top it seems to want to pull the boot off instead of unlatching and compressing the top first. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help in advance!

What ever you do don't force it. The 360 top is very expensive to fix and you defiantly have a problem. The fluid being low is probably not the problem, the elastic straps that force the spars to be pulled back are worn out is my guess. Also on my top the two cables that assist the rear wings to be folded correctly are broken where the springs connect. without these things being in correct working order the many microswitchs that control the movement of the top will malfunction. I would start by replacing the worn elastic straps and looking at the two cables to ensure they are in working order. Both this website and Aldousvoice.com have good pics and instructions on how to fix. Good luck, I am in the same boat as you are.

Don't mess with the top with it out of sync....$$$$$. Cables or straps most likely issue I agree. Take it to a shop, don't mess with it as one bend and then your into the cash.
