Ferrari 360 stuck in automatic F1 mode

So, I have finally got my 360 out after winter, and it's behaving strangely. It will only go into 2nd instead of 1st when I pull the right lever and then it auto changes up at 3k revs as I drive along. If i stick it in Neutral, the engine revs perfectly so it doesn't seem like a fuel/engine issue.

Just before I put it away for winter, the boot lid sensor was not working and so I was forced to hold the lever in first gear to set off on my final journey. I have since had the boot sensor fixed but I'm wondering if that could have annoyed the F1 ECU somehow.

I'm grateful for any ideas. I would love not to have this towed to my dealer 200 miles away if possible. It had a major service ($11k) just 7 months ago.
