It's a guy in Minnesota. You have to go through AV and they will put you in touch. It's a private individual, not a shop. He uploads your ECU files and sends them to Trev who makes the changes and emails them back for downloading onto your ECUs.
Been following this for a while now. Question for Trev, I own a couple of Alfa Romeo 3.2 V6 Gta’s and as you will know they use nearly the same ecu (me7.3.1) do you think with your SAK software i would be able to work also on this ecu?
Also been actively been following this for years, but now it looks like we will not be able to use this in California…Argh! https://www.thedrive.com/cars-101/41603/california-ecu-tune-flash-faq Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
You have a PM. Yes it works on many Bosch ME cars but my primary focus is Ferrari specialism. Sent from my CPH2145 using Tapatalk
I would bet this software snoop came about due to the VW fiasco here I would think there should be a way to switch by unload and then re-load easily if Trev can perfect the OBDII load system
hello trev I am new to the community, I have a 360cs whose owner has lost his original ecu thus mounting the modena ecu, I have been working for years on reprogramming but I have little experience on ferrari could you give me some tips?
It’s actually quite easy. I had pulled mine out awhile back. Just turn your master switch off and pull the two panels off in the engine compartment.
360 ecu's are easy peasy to program. Trevor did a "how to" on this years ago. Hopefully this link wot be blocked: https://www.***********.com/threads/how-to-bench-flash-your-ferrari-360-ignition-ecus.19714/ Basically you can use a simple usb-serial adapter, and some easily available software wired up thus: Image Unavailable, Please Login
He's actually a tuner from Europe (Italy) trying to do a heavily modified 360, the usual CS mods have been done plus tonnes of bespoke stuff which will require a lot of time on Dyno that the owner isn't really getting will be 1 off for his car and that isn't not going to work well on stock firmware. Stuff like this... Image Unavailable, Please Login ..is all very cool and will make top end gains but absolutely not off the shelf. Be aware it may be easy to dump firmware but takes many years to get to the point that you'll make tangible improvements that are safe and actually not a retrograde step. A non Ferrari experienced tuner simple won't have the knowledge to know what does and doesn't work and you don't want that guy to be experimenting on your engine...
WARNING! ** Whatever you do DON'T try plug in a USB-to Serial adapter (as described in a bit too simplistic fashion above by Robin) to your laptop/PC, the car talks on 12V and your PC serial is either 3.3v or 5.0v or you WILL fry something! These ECU's are now so expensive its risky for someone who's not got experience to mess with them like this. I'd advise to take precautions (anti-static, etc.) and use a cheap ecu (non ferrari) to gain experience before attempting to mess with these hard to source ecu's! Just not worth risking it!
Obvious that programming is best left to the Professor, 360Trev. To experiment is a reinvent of the wheel that Trev has already achieved Downside risks are costly
@360trev sorry to jump in on this thread but wasn't sure where else to ask. I have an F430 I'm putting a full exhaust + headers system on -- is there someone in the Boston, MA area you work with or recommend to reprogram my ECU and defeat the CEL for the cat efficiency?
@360trev , is there still plans to release a consumer level plug in swiss army knife diag tool? If so how much longer? Would be very useful. Thanks
As the newest member of the 360Trev fanclub, all i can say is wow. No one needs my opinion but I'll share it anyway...quick and dirty version...the custom F430 scud tune is incredible. It passes emissions and give me faster shifts, smoother shifts, faster response, more power (but the GOOD power, not the uncontrollable kind) and also believe it or not makes the car sound more 'whiney' in a very good high pitched F1 car sort of way. Incredible.
Sounds interesting, I’m what car you have this tune, F430 F1 ? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
