This 2 cars are amazing to me. Their lines are a lot diferent from tradicional ferraris but to me they are 2 of the most beautiful ones. However i´m having a hard time finding information about them. Where are they at present? The One for Ingrid Bergman (0456AM) i know it´s unique but what about the other? i think it´s 0402AM but can´t be sure.
Does anyone have some more pictures from these cars and some history please?

Etienne, looking with more atention to the pics, i´m a bit confused...in Villa d'este 2007, on the second row of pics, the ignition on the center console in on paited metal, and the seats a brown, but than there is another pictures with a red interior? so there are 2 examples of this car?Or are this pictures mixed with others from another car?

I was fortunate years ago to be involved in the restoration of 0402AM -- fantastic car with a unique racecar heart and soul and truly one-off coachwork. Hopefully one of these years I will get the time to scan and post the hundreds of picture I have of the pre / during / assembly / post restoration pictures.

I very much doubt it will leave Jon's possession for a long time. He has made the comment many times in the past that 0402AM and the 8C2900B are his favorites and everything would go before these.

I was surprised to learn after the debut of 0402AM at Pebble -- it is the only postwar car to get the most votes in final selection to date. It wouldn't surprise me to see this car in a decade or so (cleanup restoration) rolling across the stand again at Pebble and taking a shot at Best of Show.

The cool thing about 0402AM today -- it is used quite often and has been driven a LOT! I wish all restored Ferrari's were used and appreciated as much as this 375MM was.

No, it's always the one and unique # 0402AM. Maybe the colors can be bit different from a pic to other, due the light...in fact, the right color is rather dark red, as shown in this photo :

0402AM is a truly awesome looking car. Although different, to my eyes it has a Mercedes 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe look about it.

And I think I know where BMW got the rear styling for the Z8

Rear styling of the BMW Z8 was influenced by the Jaguar E-Type Mk I. This info came from Chris Bangle in a conversation 3 years ago.

I can see that but where did Lyons and Sayer get their inspiration?

    Well spoted!!!
Superleggera, it would be great if you made a thread about this car restauration, i´m also glad it is in the yands of someone who really enjoy drving it, giving other people the oportunity to apreciate such a work of art.
I´m no expert but i believe such a car should be as valuable as a GTO.

Yes, it was truly ratty when it was in Palermo, painted a sort of International Harvester green and missing trim.I was looking at that website that prides itself on numbers and in the list of owners it reads:

    54/aug/21 - Roberto Rossellini, I - paid Lit. 4,000,000.-
54/aug - Rossellini was with the car in Sweden
    54/nov/30 - registered in Rome: "Roma 213712"
55 - rebodied as Coupe by Scaglietti, all alloy, RHD
    55 - painted metallic grey/red
    64/jul/21 - Mario Savona, 37 Via Liberta, Palermo, I
    6. - repainted green
70/apr - Charles Robert, Paris, F for 200.000 Lire (8800 FF) Pierre Bardinon was not interested when the factory offered him the car

I am curious to know the body style it had before it was crashed? Can anyone name another Ferrari SN of a car with the body the way 0402 looked in roadster style?
I'd also like to know in dollars what Savona bought it for? My impression is that he bought it from the shop where it was being repaired, and probably got a good price because it had never been picked up by the consignee. That is called "mechanic's lien" in the US but I don't know what it's called in Italy.
Or I'd like to know what Savona sold it for (in dollars). Then there's a really long unexplained leap of 34 years from Charles Robert to 1994 when it was offered by Coys. Was Mr. Robert the lucky one who enjoyed all that appreciation ( a negligible amount by 2014 standards I might add...) or was their another owner or two inbetween?
For a long time I confused this with that other silver 375MM coupe
but I hope I have the two separated now. Please let me know if I co-mingled them again.

So let me see if I get that right: for you that is "that website that prides itself on numbers" but you still look at it and copy and paste from there. Well done...
