I have just started to build an 3.7 liter engine. The base is an drysump 308 GTB. I have got an new 360 crank and custom made pistons from Wössner GmbH, and custom liners from Westwood.
I'm gonna use standard length conrods from Carillon, and have therefor moved the wrist pin up in the piston.

Since the engine is going to be a bit more powerful, have I renforced the rear bulkhead. I have welded in a 1 inch square tube underneath the original tube so that the rear bulkhead is a lot more stiffer.

I like it ! I know, in the 70's/80's some 230 BHP on appr. 1250 kilos wasn't that bad & quite fast. Nowadays a/my 308 is a rather quick car, but since the suspension and brakes on my car are firmly upgraded some 50 more horsies would be quite nice...

What was your reason to start this job, did your engine need a rebuild anyway or did you get bored behind the steering wheel ? :)
