    A "400i" body with carbs is a 365GT/4 2+2, or, even more accurately put, a 365GTC/4 "with a 400I body!" N'est pas?
Rather rare car, Euro delivery only, I had one, it was prone to more oil leaks than was my c/4 or ANY Daytona I've had...
It is a comfortable car, driven to LA from SF @ 90+ MPH all the way down 5..completely uneventfully I might add...
However, have the car PPI before purchase by an expert in front engine Ferraris.
This car could be a bad deal if GIVEN to you-truly...

Only old Ferrari with decent A/C I've ever had....

Huh? The 400 was definitely offered in a carbed form before the Bosch injection system was added later.

I'm not an owner, but I've been keeping my eye on the market for a while. Simply put, buy the absolutely best condition car you can afford. The values of the car are so low that you simply can't restore an interior or do major body/motor work without losing money.

If you know the last 5 digits of the serial number, post them here. There are folks who track cars based on that, and may be able to give you a history of the car.

    Yep sure was. 1977, 1978, and 1979 the model was a 400.

    Hey that sounds like me.

Seriously John post the serial number. A few of us have a list of every one in the country.
