    Are you sure it is original? Its not shown in either of the parts books.

    One sure fire way to figure it out is to see what its connected to.

    It seems very well "mounted", but I also can't find it in any of the parts diagrams.

    I guess I will find out when everything gets taken apart.

    Has your had emissions equipment added? Maybe a charcoal canister for the fuel system?

    With a cylindrical/spherical shape like that it is designed for pressure or vacuum. A charcoal canister has neither.

    So I traced it and you are correct, is it part of the vacuum circuit.
