    My 412 left its mark!

I assume this is do to an over rich condition on cold start up.

Should I start looking at the WUR pressures? Image Unavailable, Please Login

The WUR is indeed overly rich when cold, but this is meant to allow you to be in a position to crank the engine when dead cold. Given that nowadays our cars do not see freezing temperatures, I indeed prefer to raise the cold start pressure (i.e closer to the hot pressure), which makes the fumes less toxic. Regardless of the selected cold pressure, the termo time switch will still enrich the engine for a few seconds (there are two additional cold start injectors), so don't expect your wall to stay white...

As far as you are concerned, I would say you made too many short trips: given how long the exhausts are, if you only crank the engine and shut it off shortly after, some condensation will accumulate in the exhaust pipe and mix with soot. On the next startup the whole of it is flushed. On a not so expensive exhaust I would drill some holes in the exhaust in order to clear this condensation, but given that this damn exhaust was €3500 10 years ago, and probably twice as more today I just prefer to make sure the exhaust gets real hot before shutting off the engine.

Perhaps we should start a trend here, "signature wall art"!

Yes, there was indeed a lot of condensation together with soot.

I will check the pressures at the WUR just to make sure everything is as it should be.

How did you increase the cold start WUR pressure? (Higher pressure = more resistance on the plungers/plate = leaner air/fuel mixture).

I will also disconnect the 2 cold start injectors, there is no need for those.
