With $500K Dinos and $1.3M F50s sold at auction, who knows how much anything is worth nowadays?
David- Equivalent is the Bicolore Scaglietti for the M. Flares and chairs were just two separate options on 246s. Lots more of them now than there were in 1974. My old 72 has them even though they were not an option until 1973.
One other thing about this Black 456M 6 speed in Naples: How rare is this color combo on this car? Seems as though the majority of these 456M manuals are silver. Has there been a non-silver car for sale in the past year? When I was looking, all I could find among the 456M manuals was silver. So, perhaps the seller is aware that this color is hard to find, and the gated 456M itself is rare enough.
Black is not rare on any Ferrari model. Rarer than red, but that is not saying much. Lots of 456s in Argento and Titanio, too just like there are lots of Maranellos in those colors. Lots of black Maranellos, too.
Hey guys, just registered here - I am currently based in London, been looking for a 456m GT in Pozzi Blu with beige or brown interior for the past 2 years. Very tricky to get ahold of one. If you come across one, please do post it here! Looking forward to chat
I thought so - funny your location is Dubai & London. I am actually from Munich, but have lived in Dubai for 3 years, now moved to London. I am contemplating to also go for other dark blue colors, like the Tour de France. Is there another one? Or alternatively grey or black interior. Any recommendations? I think the Pozzi is not metallic is it?
The darker blue metallic is blu tour de france. Lighter blue metallics are azzuro california and grigio alloy. There's also a blu NART which is a medium dark blue metallic with a very slight green tint. Finally, there is a hideous nonmetallic sky blue that looks like the Gulf Wyer GT40 livery, but the name escapes me at the moment. All of those colors, except TDF, are pretty hard to find in the 456/550/575 group. There seem to have been, comparatively, a lot of grigio alloy 360s produced. Here is a Tour de France blue 456M that was on eBay recently (it didnt reach the reserve of $65k). A stunning car! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It was a 6-speed. It was bid to about $53k. I was very surprised it didn't sell. It had Daytona seats, too, and those superb wheels.
Those wheels really set that car off. Beautiful. Those are 430 wheels, correct? I find myself wanting a nice, high speed, four seat GT more and more these days. I may need a 456 sooner rather than later. My Mondial has the extra seats, but it is the euro version and as such has pretty short gearing. That coupled with a loud custom exhaust means 3500-4000 rpm at freeway speeds wears on you quickly. I see it as more of a B-road GT as opposed to a freeway GT, if that makes sense. As an aside, for those who may have had both, how would you compare the rear seat room and comfort of the 456 vs. a California?
Wow. Hard to believe the market is still that soft. Those are Novitec aftermarket rims and go for around $12K.
Kind of an apples to oranges comparison to compare the rear seat of a 456M with the seats of a California. Do you mean a Mondial?
It only bid to $50,205.00. It has about 19,000 miles and is owned by Richard Griot (of Griot's Garage). Here's a link to some great photos of it: 2000 Ferrari 456M - a set on Flickr VIN: ZFFWP44A7Y0121766 eBay item no. 170967443949 Finished in Tour de France Blue with contrasting full tan leather interior and dark blue carpets. The 5.5-liter V-12 engine is mated to a very desirable 6-speed manual transmission. This car is in superb condition throughout and comes with a complete service history. Features includes electronic climate control, electric windows and exterior mirrors, fully adjustable electric Daytona sports seats, CD player, adjustable suspension, and remote central locking. Upgraded Novitec 19 wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tires (a $9,000 upgrade). Included is the factory tool kit in a leather case, spare space saver tire and all manuals with the factory leather pouch and a factory car cover.
No, California. I drove one the other day and LOVED it. I know it is a totally different car and certainly apples to oranges, but back seat room is one of the factors I would consider should the time come to buy one. I know the 456 back seats are a little bigger than a Cali, just wasn't sure by how much. We've got a 2 1/2 year old son, so basically I'm trying to figure out at what age he will outgrow the rear of whatever I may buy!
Nice one. I missed that on ebay. I love darker colors on the 456. Has it been re-listed yet? Also, just from the pics it looks like it would need the driver's side window fix and the front bumper and hood re-sprayed to be perfect (assuming there are no other issues). What kind of cost would one be looking at for those issues?
I've always admired the 456 but can't say I've ever lusted after one...until I browsed those photos...hot damn!!!!
Judging from my own kids, the 456M is good until puberty hits and then they start grousing. (But mine would grouse in the back seat of a Maybach, so it's hard to tell how much complaining you can attribute to the actual seat room vs. how much to just being teenagers )
THis one in Siena, Italy, has been for sale on/off for about 10 months...dropped from 44K to 33K...haven't seen it personally though. Auto usate: Ferrari, 456, 456 M GT AutoScout24 pagina di dettaglio
It's those wheels... they look fabulous on this car. I'm normally not too keen on aftermarket wheels on Ferraris, but these are a huge improvement. IMHO of course. If only I had $60k to spend!
The Novitec NF2s are 9 x 19 in front and 12.5 x 19 in the rear and really fill out the wheelwells with 15-25 mm spacers in the rear (wheels originally designed for the 360). They are copies of the Enzo wheels and are nearly the same size (Enzo 9 x10 and 13 x 19). They update the look of the car compared to the OEM 17" wheels and cost ~$6500 without tires. I have a set on my 575M that will likely be replaced with the factory modulars in the future. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow nice one - I think I'd be very happy with Blu Tour de France - always liked the Pozzi as it felt a but more understated, but this actually looks lovely. Agree with you on the wheels - usually not a fan but these fit really well. Any other 456M GT in blue with beige interior, please do share them here. Preferably in Europe. It's really time for me.
