Ferrari 458 driver rams Fiat 600 driver for not allowing him to pass

According to the Daily Mail, a 32-year old Ferrari 458 Italia driver is in trouble after coming down with a serious bout of road rage. A Fiat 600 would not get out of his way on the roads near Rome, so he did what any insane person would do, and decided to ram the hapless Fiat repeatedly. Once the Fiat pulled over, the unnamed Ferrari driver switched from car fighting to fist fighting and began pummeling the other driver. He wasn't alone, either, as a passenger in the Ferrari aided in the fisticuffs.

A passing off-duty cop stopped to break things up and backup arrived to haul the two Ferrari fighters off to jail. After searching the car, police found over $30,000 in cash and are attempting to figure out where it came from. According to the report, neither man is a stranger to the police and they're both in custody for assault, criminal damage and resisting arrest.

 

OMG!! Talk about more money than sense..... that dude should see some serious jail time IMO....
The $30k surely sounds suspicious....

I had a (very wealthy) friend get pulled over on the way home from a casino with $20k in the car. needless to say the police were VERY interested in that....

 

I'll bet they were quite disappointed that they had to return the whole $2,500 to him.

 

It's Italy. I'm not surprised. The Fiat driver should have moved to the right.

 

sad that carrying cash with you is "probable cause"

 

Oh. So he deserved being rammed. Doesn't seem very efficient to me. Italy or anywhere.

The 'bumper" of the 458 Italia is in name only, I'm sure he spent $10K just pounding on the ohter car!! LOL!

 

People must have rocks in their head that do this.

Reminds me of when my office was broken into and the safe door was wide open.

Two cops showed up to investigate and asked me how much money was in the safe? I said there was nothing as it was an old safe that I never used it and I didn't even have the combination.

The first cop asked me again and I told him once again there was no money taken. They laughed and the second cop asked again "how much untraceable cash that will be fully covered by your insurance theft policy was taken, $5K-$10K? I just shook my head and said, there was no cash taken.

They just shrugged their shoulders with disbelief that I wasn't trying to put in a false claim. The thought never crossed my mind....

Very glad you said that. How in the world having cash suddenly makes you suspicious is a mystery.

We are quickly moving to a society where cash will be eliminated. Think debit cards. Many carry no cash at all.

Accordingly, someday--not so far away--every beer you buy, every smoke you smoke and everything in between will be traced and reduced to binary code....stored away for the benefit of Uncle Sam and the insurance companies.

 

Whats so suspicious about it? Most Italians favour using cash. Maybe he was heading out to buy a watch. Is it suspicious because its not on credit payments or in an IRS monitored bank account?

 

Guy "road rages" his THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLAR CAR into a Fiat 600... and
happens to have 30k in the car as well... a guy with a long criminal record no less....

Guess I'm just naive. Sorry. Need to meet more Italians I guess.

I knew a guy who was pulled over in his slantnose Porsche cab back in the early 90s. He tried to give a key of coke to his GF who was in the passenger seat to hide. She brushed it out of the way and it exploded in his face.

Cop walks up to see him covered in coke.

It is suspicious not matter how you slice it. MOST people dont carry $30k around with them. Therefore when you find someone who does it is, by definition, suspicious.

However suspicion does not equal guilt.

Interestingly, I just heard a Canadian news report on government run casinos in British Columbia. The BC government has no issue with you walking into their casino with $100-200K in $20 bills stuffed into large shopping bags.
