When I bought the car, I noticed a gap between the hood and front bumper. The gap was one in which the hood was about 1/4" higher than bumper.........
After doing a PPI at the Ferrari dealer and talking to the previous owner.... if the car had an accident or something, I was assured that car is fine and never been fixed or damaged.
I decided to find how to fix, as for me one of my hobbies is restauring cars.
I will post a few photos.
Easy fix, even though takes time. I'll say: 2-3 hours.
    You only need to:
    1) Remove Wipers
    2) Remove rubber seal around trunk tub.
3)Remove all three hood/trunk covers.( remove about 30 bolts)
    4) Remove trunk tub ( 7ea bolts at bottom of car/trunk and 8 ea bolts at inside bottom trunk.)
    5) Loosen 4 ea allen bolts that hold the latch mechanism.
    6) adjust latch mechanism ( up or down)
    7) close hood and adjust latch accordingly....( adjusts gap)
    Reassemble.
Hope this helps anyone that now with my post.....will notice this gap on their cars....
Do note that after surfing the internet and seeing 100's of 458's photos.... I did notice a lot of them with a big gap!!
See my photos with the adjusted gap. Phenomenal!!

Amazing! But my question is how do you adjust the hood dampers. (Little spring things on either side.)

My hood on the pista is perfect in the center but it seams the dampers on either corner are pushing the sides up just a little more than the center
