Imo this is the ugliest ferrari front end in the history of ferrari (the back isn't that appealing either) ! 355 I think was the best, folowed by the 360 and F430. These were all classy cars, and like beatifull women you just couldn't help falling in love with them the moment you've seem them. For that reason the 458 Italia is a design failure, and surely in 4 years from now we will see a classy ferrari once again ! First of all they will have to get rid of the cartoon-like headlights, but those protruding plastic-winglets are pretty awfull too (caranddriver thinks of them as of "carp whiskers", and some other journalists say they resemble an amphibian's tongue). Couldn't they have just hidden them underneath a mesh of some sort ?

Well, we really know by now how you think about the new car. That you don't like the new design elements very much and that you hate everything about the front. So why don't you stop posting this here, I guess everybody is sick and tired of hearing your moaning. You could post in threads and/or forums of cars that you really like instead.

The front of the F430 is clumsy and ugly (it got better with the Scud).

Steady on there. All views are welcome, not just the party line.

Of course it is, but we already know by now.

Some like the 458, some not. Some like the 430, some not. Some like both, some non of them. But it doesn't get better if some repeat the same thing all the time.

Agreed, that one has been done to death by now (and I've contributed more than a few negative thoughts myself), but you did sound just a little angry. :)

Hey Lesia44, I'm not angry at all, just a little bit tired of the ever same argument.

BTW I belong to those who like both, the 430 as well as the 458. I just like the 458 a bit more. ;)

I like the front end a little more with the vents eliminated. Would do better w/ a different light design.

Exactly. And to me, as much as I liked the 360/430 at the time (and still do), they're just sort of boring to me. The CS is what made the 360 so much better, imo. The Scud is great but didn't bring out that bold difference the CS did to the 360.

I want exotic cars to be just that, exotic. Not bland nor boring, but something you have to stare at and occassionally scratch your head at, but as time goes on and being seen in person makes you snap your fingers and say, "I get it now and I love it!"

I agree. What I don't want is to spend $300K and end up with an Edsel or Pontiac Aztec design. Those designers are still "staring and scratching" their heads over those designs ;-)

I think the 458 is the only good looking Ferrari in the current range. the 612 is ugly and cold, the Cali has a "Fat" ass compared to the front end, and the 599 is not that pretty compared to the competition. but we love them because they're Ferraris. Maybe if Enzo was around they would be all as good as the 458.

The 458 Italia is a case of form following function but I really like the form too. Love this car as-is.

I personally think our 430's are looking a little dated, and can't wait for my 458 to arrive this winter.
