I still question why there is no glass on the rear deck. It seems like that you could see the engine with the top up. When the top is down, all you see is the headliner.

The rumors about the glass roof appear to be wrong. Personally, I'm happy about that.

Perhaps a later electro-whatever adjustable glass roof is on the way, at a low, low (cough) optional price?

Ah, sorry dude, I missed that.

No, not the FF! When God was doling out prettiness he didn't know there was another Ferrari coming along soon so he gave it all the the 458 and there was none left for the FF.

The black interior blends with the dark grey rubber trim around the buttresses.

I think the spider looks great! Much better than all the Photoshop guesses.
It should look nice with all the usual color combos. I don't think the black rubber
will clash with non black or grey interiors.

It's disappointing. I can't quite fingerpoint why. It looks scrunched.

However, I suspect this is what Ferrari wants me to feel. There's a pattern here. First pics are usually underwhelming. They use some studio technique that makes the car look bland. No one can figure out why this is so we assume the car is fugly.

Controversy ensues. Dissidents attack and soon enough Loyalists pop in to defend the Ancient Regime. The latter group is naturally privileged and thus get to see the car in her flesh first.

So rank is pulled. Its the flesh-viewers v the picture-class sitting in the back rows. A class war breaks out while the chattering class chronicles the action on their blogs.

But then slowly but surely new pics arrive and the car starts to look better. More people see it in the flesh and tide of opinion begins to turn. The FF is probably the best example of this.

Its as if Ferrari did a bait and switch. The loyalists always end up being correct. Hmmmm.

Inevitably, sales are robust. Whether or not there is a connection between this and the original fugly pics is the million dollar question.

I'm still rather curious if you can lift up the rear deck to see the engine if the top is down. I wonder if they make some kind of electronic sensor to prevent you from doing that.

I agree, but i think it resembles the hood a bit more than the engine cover on the Dino. Great that they added that nice detail IMHO.

Venturi-effect based cooling ala Porsche 911...

The cowls look great: they maintain the design integrity and prevent the "slab-look" that affects the 360 and 430 Spiders. I think it is going to be a huge success for Ferrari. No way Lambo is going to be able to make the Aventador convertible as nice as this. TKO Ferrari!

Certainly something to consider, but I think we can assume that it's possible.

Given where the engine cover hinges are and the fact that these "hooks" pop-out, a question that comes to my mind is, do the hooks latch on - and if so, how do you manually release them to open the engine cover? It must be possible. :)

Right on, thats what I thought when I first saw the photos~ I love it. Bring back the Dino root to modern mid-engine Ferraris.

That's so funny. I showed my buddy the video and he thought they looked great. That comment reminds me of the time I saw a Porsche CGT thAt had sucked a cat in an intake at 140ish.

Anyway I absolutely love this car. Nice work Ferrari.
