I love the line about normal conversation above 200km/h. I suspect conversation with the roof off might be excited rather than normal. :)

No great claims about structural rigidity I notice - just that putting the roof up doesn't help it.

Actually, on 458spider.com they talk about the structure changes. It's much stiffer than the F430 spider which was really quite good.

Man i dont know how the heat escapes the engine compartment. To my novice eye there's not enough vents.

I think the position of the cowls is determined by the position of the roof hinges they contain and the side window tracks. The wide-set cowls also maximize rear vision.

I really wouldn't worry. Ferrari is a very accomplished engineering powerhouse. Engine cooling is a basic issue and will certainly have been thoroughly addressed as part of the design and development process.

LOL, only Ferrari would use 200 km/h and normal in the same sentence.

I've finally worked out what is wrong with the looks of the F50 ... it is the wing. Looks sooooooooooooooo much better without it!!!

Should be able to see some good shots of it with the top up from the Frankfurt Motor Show in a couple of weeks time. I have a stand pass, so will see if they let me take a few pictures!

It dose look very cool, but I think I will stick with my Coupe for a while (this could get expensive!).

A bad batch of glue means they had cooling problems?

Nero Daytona has metallic flecks, gold IIRC, in the black. It looks like it was almost made with the 458 in mind

Well the glue got hot ... but I was actually responding to this point:
And I would not necessarily believe everything that Ferrari say when they solve a problem. I still remember them saying they had electrical problems with their F1 car in a race while I watched (on TV) flag marshals remove engine pieces from the track ... LOL :D

One story says a screen makes it possible to
conduct conversations at 192 mph (at which point I
think your female companion is screaming her lungs out).
Is it electrically raised? Does it exist between the two headrest fairing shaped mounds?

On the luggage tray are they already showing matched luggage?

How much will the spyder cost?
    When are first deliveries?

Does anyone miss the glass window to see the engine? I think
they could have had one but with the top laying there
once it's retracted, you'd have to go through two layers of whatever the body
    material is.

Is the rear spoiler electronically adjustable as to rake in any way or just permanently fixed?

    Yep.

After everything is said and done, around $260 would be my guess....

Folding hard-top's seem to be what the people want now, so they're going to run with whatever makes them the most money. Besides, the Performante seems to get away with it quite nicely. The aesthetics are just fine for me. The 355's engine-cover vents are still sexy for me.

Rises at speed, and can not be fixed in one place if I am not mistaken.
