recalled!
I really don't understand all the fuss..... Skill with a fire extinguisher is required, to drive any of the older Ferraris.....
Sorry but my vote for dumbest post ever... Let me tell you this.. if they were selling 458 spiders now, I'd be at my dealer today!
If this is the only issue for the 458, it might actually be the "best" in terms of design defects since the 328 era. 355, 348, 360, TR, 550/575 all had significant problems.
Personally I just don't like the design of the 458. Can't put my finger on it. Someone posted a photoshop with the 458 wearing the California's face. All of a sudden it looked STUNNING! The last truly great looking Ferrari IMO was the 355 and the 550. I loved the look of the Challenge Stradale as well.
Not really the best of posts, please do elaborate about why the 458 is the worst Ferrari? Oh wait why I am bothering to type this
Probably because of the 200 already made there have been 11 of them burn to the ground. Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
The Ferrari 458 Italia's on fire. Literally. It's burned in Paris, in London, in the U.S., and now in China. It's an intercontinental Ferrari Car-B-Que! http://jalopnik.com/5620538/ferrari-458-italia-burns-to-ground-in-china
I guess you haven't seen the other 15 posts and weeks of discussion on this????? You've just prove my point. This IS the stupidest post ever (sorry Huckster).
Origin of STUPID Middle French stupide, from Latin stupidus, from stupēre to be numb, be astonished more at type First Known Use: 1541
I think I have seen the definition of 'Troll' with the original post here... Yeah its bad that the 458 needs to be recalled. A company like Ferrari should have been more diligent in their QC procedures. But that doesnt make the 458 a bad car and certainly not the worst ever.
Ford cruise controls catch fire too... It happens. At least Ferrari addressed it quickly, not like 15 years for the 355 updated fuel block. October 2009 Update:* Ford Recalls Another 4.5 million Vehicles Due To Fire Risk On October 13, 2009, Ford Motor Co. expanded its largest-ever recall by about 4.5 million vehicles equipped with* a faulty cruise-control switch linked to at least 550 vehicle fires nationwide, and the destruction of many homes and other properties.* Ford has now recalled more than 14 million vehicles in eight separate recalls over a 10-year period because of the problem. The new recall includes: 1995-2003 model year Ford Windstar 2000-2003 Ford Excursion diesels 1993-1997 and 1999-2003 Ford F-Super Duty diesel 1992-2003 Ford Econoline 1995-2002 Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer 1995-1997 and 2001-2003 Ford Ranger 1994 Ford F53 Motor home vehicles equipped with the Texas Instruments speed control deactivation. What is the Ford Fire Recall? Since 1999, the Ford Motor Company has recalled over 10.4 million Ford, Lincoln and Mercury cars, SUVs and pickup trucks due to faulty cruise control switches, which can corrode overtime and catch fire. The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration's (NHTSA) has reported receiving 1,472 complaints connected to the defect, including 65 fires. The number of Ford fires reported to NHTSA is believed to be far less than the number that have occurred.
