Where I live carbon wheels are 43k US dollars. We also don't have the smoothest roads and there are some pot holes here and there so I passed on them but I did go with the black wheels

    FYI
Today some dealers should have received the list with the suggested potential buyers for the Pista "Aperta".

    Good luck to everybody!

Confirmed that people who take the Pista Coupe CANT take the Pista Aperta. Both cars cant go to the same client.

For the Pista Aperta you have to own at least one GT car (California/FF, Portofino/Lusso) and at least be ranked as VIP in dealers Modis System.

Remember that there are always exceptions and special cases, but this rules/criteria come directly from factory.

Did you happen to ask if a customer currently has a Coup allocation and is offered a Aperta and decides to take an Aperta, does the dealer determine who gets the coup allocation or is it Ferrari? Thanks.

Also - so you know, you get MODIS points based on a variety of things such as, attends dealer events and functions, driving school, having your cars Classiche Certified, going to a Formula 1 race through Ferrari, etc. So, always make certain you’re getting points for everything you participate in.

I asked my dealer about this and they knew nothing about it. It doesn’t matter either way to me because I’m a coupe man regardless, but I don’t know if this is really the case. I doubt it, frankly. If the uber clients want both I’m sure they’ll be accommodated.

Rossocorsa1 is correct. If someone is a priority 1 client with Ferrari they can have both. Probably priority 2 as well.

There are 4 levels of priority status.

    And this..

    499 TOTAL 488 Pista Apertas
165 TOTAL to all of the Americas. CAN, Americas, North Americas. Central America...
Each US dealer will be allocated 3 to sell.
Each dealer submitted their suggested clients for Ferrari to consider for the Aperta list.
Ferrari then decides who to offer the cars too.

    Priority 1,2,3,4 status.
4 is you bought a car. A used Ferrari.
3 is you have bought many and have a relationship.
2 is all of 3 except your Ferrari history is longer.
1 is reserved for drivers and PROBABLY the Pope.

    Pistas.
    800 per year. 2 years 1600 total.

How do you know if you are getting "credit" for those events? Even on the MyFerrari.com, it's like pulling teeth sometimes to get the cars that you have purchased accurate. I can imagine that most events slip through the cracks.

Is the Pista quote worldwide or US? How confident are you of the numbers?

So with 499 Pista Aperta, the Aperta will be a limited edition (produced to a pre-set number). This is different from previous information.
1600 Pista is quite possible (my dealer told me 1800) but to be honest I was / am expecting a number between 2500 and 3000 (similar to the Speciale production).

The Pista will be a great cash-maker for Ferrari, so why would they limit the production so much? Besides, other numbers circulated have also sugested a similar production to the Speciale (e.g. number of cars available in Europe and France).

It could make sense however, trying to make more money from less cars.

Unfortunately. If your MODIS rating matters to you, you need to stay on top of it by making sure your dealer inputs your participation. It may not matter to some, but in my case (and I’m certain for many) my MODIS. score was critical in securing a Pista allocation. It just simply is.
