I passed H R Owen's new 'Atilier' at The Berkley Hotel in Knightsbridge recently where a 512S is on display.

The 512 S is described on the HR Owen press hand out which comes in PDF form and is repeated verbatim here :-

    http://www.autoevolution.com/news/felipe-massa-helps-inaugurate-new-ferrari-atelier-36956.html

as " a very special 1970 Ferrari 512S which was driven by Mario Andretti and Chris Amon at Daytona and Sebring before being driven by Derek Bell in the film Le Mans. "

I believe Mario may have driven chassis #1026 with Art Mezario and Jacky Ickx at Daytona and shared the same car with Ignazio Giunti /Nino Vaccarella at Sebring after his gearbox failed in chassis #1010 at Sebring. I have no recollection of Chris Amon being on the Ferrari driving team at these races.

Can anyone confirm if the 512 S seen at HR Owen is #1026 and if that is the same car Derek Bell drove in the film Le Mans ?

Relevant answers may be credited and used in a forthcoming blog.

Thanking you in anticipation of your responses.

If it says so on the internet it must be true especially as the details are copied from Ferrari's own press release :

Therefore not only is the history correct but also Atilier and Berkley should be spelt Atelier & Berkeley
