Me and the Modulo @ Galleria Ferrari, 2012 Congratulations, Jim! Any possibility to admire the Modulo at 2015 Concorso di Villa d'Este?! Cheers from Maranello Alan Image Unavailable, Please Login
612 Can Am 0864. Definitely started as the 27TH 512S chassis Ferrari built. IMO those who think it's 512 1046 are mistaken.
Pininfarina's Modulo for sure is NOT #1046. The Jim Glickenhaus statement is correct. #1046 is a 512 S chassis sold new by the factory to Herbert Müller in Reinach, Switzerland in October 1971. Below is the proof. The first document dated 19 October 1971 is the factory invoice to Müller (invoice number 3084/71). Bare chassis with body panels but without mechanical components. Chassis #1046 was imported by Müller from Italy to Switzerland on 27 October 1971 and customs paid at Chiasso customs station (see stamp at bottom right of first document), Italian-Swiss border. The second document is the factory delivery note to Müller (delivery note number 23642), issued one week after the invoice, on 26 October 1971. Translation: Rimesso = Delivery note. Matricola 1046 = Chassis number 1046. Body parts supplied by Cigala & Bertinetti (a boat and yacht builder in Torino, they made the 512 S bodies for the factory). Dischi freno posteriori = Rear disc brakes. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
interesting details on the Paolo Martin website : Ferrari MODULO 512 Jim: Can you explain what is the device in this picture Image Unavailable, Please Login
Correct. Thanks. Some think this. 612 CanAm s/n 0864 When we remove riveted inner panels and bulkhead we'll see more of the chassis.
Congratulations on your latest addition Jim. I remember this car from 1970. Guess that "dates" me.......
First the awesome sig line, then the P4/5, then the P4/5 Comp, now this! Bluntly put, Napolis is my hero. I want to be him when I grow up! [While this may sound sarcastic, it really isn't. What you do WRT these cars, and the effect it has on the Ferrari world in general, is truly admirable. Bravo!]
Fabulous. Congrats. I love what this car represents in terms of design and how it clearly affected what came secondary Oh, and George Lucas may want a ride in her on his way to the premiere of the next Star Wars.
The Modulo has truly been around the world, here is a picture of it in Mexico! Image Unavailable, Please Login
It seemed to attract quite a few girls Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
We should start a pool to see how long before Mr G just buys PF outright. Congrats and all the best with the new acquisition!
Not to be contrarian, but........I would love to see Jim change the livery of the Modulo to one of its older color schemes that we've not seen in many, many years: Steel blue with blue interior or Black-white with red interior. Don't get me wrong, I love the Modulo as it is, but if it's going to be runner, it would be refreshing to see it in one of those older color schemes.......maybe not right off the bat, but down the road. Don't forget P5, P6 wore different colors at one time too.
The first thing we do is a full scan to establish how she is so we can repair any future prangs. Image Unavailable, Please Login
