I was thinking of getting one of the Workshop Manual CD's for sale on the 550 that are being auctioned on ebay. Some are upwards of $200 and some are around $40. Any one have any experience with these or recommendations? Thanks.

Make sure the CD manuals are indexed and seachable. Otherwise they are very difficult to use. Also make sure they contain all the chapters. Most manuals sold on the internet are not official manuals from Ferrari, but are just scans so can be incomplete and/or of poor quality.

I bought an official OEM 360 Challenge manual on CD and it was fantastic. You can choose from 4 different languages and it's fully indexed and searchable.

In contrast I bought a set of 360 WSM from ferraribooks.com and I was disappointed to find it was not an official CD from Ferrari. Instead it was just scans of the hardcopy manual; moreover, it was missing a few chapters. Unfortunately the guy never responded to me when I requested him to send me the missing chapters.

Bottom line is to make sure you are getting what you think you are getting.

I bought mine at $100, and 1 year later saw them advertized for $40. Indexing works fine on mine. For a small charge, I could send you the CD I have since I have now have it loaded it on my PC.
    PM me,
    Ron
