    Hey guys, i recently bought my 550 and was told by the mechanic which has serviced it for the past 18 years that its one of the best sounding 550's he's ever heard...i somewhat agree, i'm very impressed with the sound..my last 550 (which was a dud & i ended up selling within a few weeks) had Tubis & i hated the sound.

    This car has stock headers, X-OST mufflers ( i guess these were x-tubi employees that started their own company) and an X-pipe.

    Its actually very sensible and not loud till you get on it..has a nice high pitched tone which is very different from the Tubis i had on my last car which sounded like a loud droney Muscle car..

    Let me know your thoughts..personally i am impressed , was on the fence about getting Fabios mufflers & Hpipe but i think i'm pretty happy with this sound....i think..

    Hey Tarek - this is the same as I have on my Maranello. I absolutely love the sound - aggressive high pitched when you get deep into revs and absolutely no drone.

    Agree, its a great exhaust, i'm very impressed with it..Tubis sound too deep on 550's.

    I had one on my 348. The quality was superb, and the sound was fantastic. Even my Porsche loving friends thought it was the best sounding thing they’d ever heard.

    Where did you hear the story X-OST is ex Tubi employees? I have an X-OST muffler on my 355. Very interesting if true story. X-OST is no longer around I know that much.

    Tarek, just like we talked on IG, those are my new favorite 550 muffler. They sound awesome, and now I want to find a set. Congrats again on the new 550!

    Your setup sounds great, Tarek! Any chance you could put together a driving video (no matter how crude) so we can hear the exhaust under load through the rev range? I have been toying with pulling the trigger on Fabio’s headers and mid-pipe, but would prefer to “keep it easy”. Thanks in advance!
