Ferrari 575M Maranello Brake Light

This was interesting......as it is the brake light on the speedometer cluster not the Parking Brake indicator light. Awhile ago the light would flicker as I move through the gears. Rather random. Upon going through the 575M Maranello manual it indicated a brake pad issue when the light is on. Well, upon asking others it seemed to indicate a level indicator issue on brake fluid which is DOT 4 for refill confirmed by dealer.

So I filled the reservoir this afternoon and was careful as it did not need much.....You have to take wires off blue cap to loosen as a fyi so mark one with tape and wire with tape as not to cross them upon reinstall. If you overfill use a straw and hold your finger over plus a plastic dish for excess and discard the rags and dish as brake fluid is nasty.

When the brake light flickers like mentioned this might be the easier fix than a pad inspection etc.
