    Was driving behind my friend's GTO last week, and that was exactly the exhaust sound I heard too. Much higher pitch than a regular 599. I have been so used to the low rumble of a 599 GTB that it took me a while to connect the high pitch exhaust note to the GTO in front of me. And the car wasnt exactly hauling anywhere close to 5500 rpm either..

    Esp in race mode as it rolls past 7k towards redline, and then is punctuated by that rifle bolt gear change sound!

    Is that GTO's exhaust stock? Sounds impressive!
    What is unique with the GTO's exhaust compared to the 599GTB? Can you get this sound on 599GTB?

    The construction differs quite substantially from the GTB, the GTO has an essentially one piece exhaust system, a thinner guage metal is used.

    I doubt you could make a GTB sound like a GTO, even the Tubi "loud" system doesnt great this fantastic sound.
