Just like my old Daytona, the vent window latch was broken/missing. Glued mine on two or three times.
Yup, closing them usually popped it off. If you could ever get it closed with the latch still attached, leave it alone. Dinos used the same latch.
If you ever did find glue strong enough to hold it it would just rip a piece of the glass off. I have seen that on quite a few. Best just to never latch them. The really good glue was never an OTC product to my knowledge.
The best idea I saw was one with a bolt and small chrome cap nut on the outside. Required drilling a hole in the vent window, though. Horrors to purists.
Yip it broke off once, the restorer shook his head grumbled in Italian, smiled, laughed and said "I fix it but please do not open it again" and I have never opened it since!
A day at the track. Interesting thing about these two is they have consecutive build numbers. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Could you share the VIN numbers for Registry purposes? Also, there can't be many 599 GTOs in South Africa!?

Assuming there are less than 10 599 GTOs in South Africa, you can see how this scenario can lead to a higher count for total cars.
my calculations are only based on chassis numbers, not on registrations ! in fact I got only 3 different VINs in South Africa

I am told the livery is Blu Scozia with an Argento Nürburgring center stripe and painted side mirrors, over a Charcoal Alcantara interior.
You guys may have already seen this, a 599 GTO which has covered 228,000 kilometers! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
