    Hi there,

Drove past Graypaul in my lunchbreak today and caught sight of an Enzo parked in the showroom. Thought I would go and have a closer look as although I have seen quite a few Enzos in the flesh they are stunning and still quite a rare site.

Whilst wandering round the showroom and having a good look at the F40, F50 and Enzo they have I spotted the Black 599 GTB on display in the top corner of the showroom.

    Wow !!!!!!!!!!!
This car is stunning, it was finished in a stunning metallic black with a superb red and black interior. I have not seen a 599 in the flesh until today and it has now shot straight to the top of the 'what would I buy if I had the money' list.

This colour combination and the bigger wheels were just perfect.

Most of you know that I usually take pics using my digital SLR camera but as I was at work I only had my camera phone on me. Luckily the pictures have come out not to bad but I will definately be popping back soon with my big camera.

    Enjoy.

    Regards

    Tim

    Hi there,

Mark I will try my best, it depends whether I can get access to the car again or whether it is sold. I will let you know either way.

    Hi there,

Managed to get back to Graypaul again this lunchtime but took my proper camera this time.

I did get a few shots of the interior, however had to get these from outside the car as it was locked and all the sales staff were busy with customers.

All of the pics I took can be found here: -

    Hope you like them.

I know in the UK they're extreeeemly anal about the front number-plate. I don't know anyone brave enough to not put one on .. about as risky as you get is to put a motorcycle plate on. Conversely, it's the law here to have one on the front too, but I've never been pulled over in 4.5yrs of going without...

BTW, *amazing* pics for a camera-phone on the first post -- what kind of phone is that ? I don't get anywhere near the quality of those pics with my phone (1 mp).

Nice pictures, impressive showroom from Graypaul, shame there a bit too far away for me to travel to, to have a look.

If only Maranello had a showroom like that. Our nearest one is Sevenoaks (not too far away), but they have barely anything in stock. And there attitude isnt always that great.

Some of the best dealers in the South East of the UK seem to be induvidual ones like Romans International, Broughtons, Hudsons of London and Clive Sutton.

By the way, nice site. I recognise some of the cars of people i know and have spoken to as well (the orange Pagani Zonda F owner as well).

I have a 550 and have never had a front plate on it, I have never been stopped and it's passed at least 3 MoT's with no plate either.

PS - Tim why didn't you get & post the S/n, Now I'm going to have to go to Graypaul's myself !Tut!

Beautiful car and very impressive inventory.

Do you know if there is a waiting list there for a 599? If yes, how long is it? If no, are they selling them at MSRP?

Last time i heard, it could be around a two year wait in the UK. But thats no definate answer, thats just what i have heard. Your best to ask your nearest dealer. Although i have heard that its often less of a wait in the USA. :)

Although, its only going to be like the F430 over here. A few years wait, some people buy them as an investment etc.. and theres people selling there places etc... and its likely that another car dealer will get one for sale. So you could find one around quicker than ordering one, but its whether your that bothered about the spec you want.

Or you might be lucky, and be told 2 years and only wait 1 year or less because Ferrari either have a car in your spec, or they have a break in production where they build exact specs (which was the case for another F430 owner we spoke to). :)

Is the European market stronger than the american one? It seems like people (cough*europeans*cough) are always talking about how crazy the americans are for paying such high premiums.

I don't think so,the wait list here is longer then 2 years and a lot of dealers would not even accept a deposit.

Not sure to be honest, i think the US market is pretty strong, but then again, it is a very big country compared to other countries in Europe. You'd probably be able to find out from year or quarter end figures from Ferrari.

Rolls Royce said that they sell more cars to the USA, than the UK (where they are made). And that in the UK they dont have demo cars, but in the USA and the nicer places in the Far East they often have demo cars as the market is stronger.

I have heard of 430 Spiders being readily available in Europe, where you can walk into a dealership and buy a new one right off the showroom floor. If this is the case, I wonder if the same would be true for 599s.

Anyone know if there is any truth to this? If yes, which country(ies)?

Well, as per any dealer networks, there is the odd few floating about. But when i searched Ferrari GB earlier, there was about 8 Spiders across the UK for sale, and theres a load of dealers who arent on the network who have some.

But there isnt that many, the waiting list is still over 1 year for a F430. And at the beginning of the summer, a few car dealers (non-offical ones) had average spec F430 spiders for sale for about £170,000. Which is about £20,000 more than what F430 spiders usually go for. Only because the weather was nice and people wanted one without having to wait (which is what a guy over the road from us done).

There is a few more for sale now though, as people are probably ordering other ones, as come to around Spring / early Summer in the UK, a lot of exotics are harder to find, espcially Ferrari's.
