Great news re the painted shields. Is the size still bigger than the regular shield? Do you have an image you can share from TM showing how it looks on the fender?

 

dealer was handing out to us 812C order holders these past few days so probably on its way to you from your dealer

 

When will yours be ready? I'm looking for Summer 2022.

 

Only the bigger painted shield. They held it up to the side of an actual car and it looked a bit to big to me because of the proximity to the carbon blade.

Hmm, I have my TM appt. tomorrow (virtual one).. you think this time too big, I love it on my TM Pista but that is the only car I own with painted shields. Lets see..

My 'guess' for SP3 would be summer 2023. First they have to build the 812C and Aperta series cars. Then some of the early SP3 customer's cars will go to Europe...

 

How about the new 812’s ? 2022 ? Are there already customer cars out and about in Europe ?

Second quarter 2022 for the coupe and fourth quarter I believe for the Aperta.

 

2023 for the Aperta.

 

I was due to have my TailorMade season for speccing my 812C in 10 days at the Factory , but due to Covid restrictions /Uk Re-entry changes we've changed it to Zoom/remote from my dealership - which is fine by me as I’ve got a v specific look in mind - however it will be interesting to compare to the last 3 TailorMades I’ve done at the Factory - I wasn’t wondering what others that may have done factory And Zoom have made of the difference ? Also , I’m assuming that if the 1st coupes do come out Q2, then mine would be late 2022 as TM tends to delay delivery ….

 

In the past it seems Tailor Made can delay delivery from 6-18 months- with most being around 9-12 months.

Good luck with the season. As much as we’d all like this to be over, it clearly isn’t. We just have to adjust and while its such a bummer to not have the full experience, hopefully there will be other times in the future. This is a special car and will be even more special with your Tailor Made spec.

I did mine via Webex and it was great but you have to have had some TM experience in person to really push for certain concepts and ideas that traditionally you might not know about. Also when doing it remotely you need to come more prepared, you simply can't roam the room picking up ideas. Different this time it was with the NYC team, they were great - even offering up their strong opinions to some crazy ideas we had .
