    Thank you for all the suggestions, seems I will go the a134 conversion route, I have called a few shops here and no one seems to have r12.

    - POE oil : also on ebay Italy

    Do not forget 1) to check the two defrosting valves that are located between the battery and the firewall 2) to place the expansion valve sensing bulb on the appropriate location, i.e on top of the copper tube that exits the evaporator and NOT ON THE BOTTOM, as what these Italians were doing back then.

    Switched from R12 to 134 in 2010. Didn’t replace any of the hoses. Haven’t had to add any 134 to it in the last 12 years. Of course where I live the AC isn’t used that much but it has held the charge. Maybe I’m just lucky. 1975 365 GT4
