Yeah they are massive. I'm 5'6 on a good day, standing next to one makes me feel even more like a little kid. Lol Sent from iPhone
On the way to church this morning we were passed by a red 16M with the top down on I45 headed North in the clear lake area.
Saw a metalic white Murcielago on 45 N exiting Louetta on Sunday afternoon. Then saw a red 430 Spider on paper paltes on Louetta by the Vintage Monday morning.
So you know whats interesting? I've driven my car all over town for years and only been spotted once, that once was when I was in Dallas! Go figure.
Now thats a shame and we are so close!! 99% of the time when I spot any car WORTHY of a pic I am shifting gears or just trying not to get run off the road. If you are still driving the 400i I am the one deprived as I LOVE that model.
Have you been in a 400i? There are a different animal. Kind of makes you want to get dressed up to go for a ride. If you haven't one of these days we should go for a ride.
Unfortunately no I have yet to have the honor. Back in the late '80s early '90s I always saw one specific 400 near my office and they are just so damn sexy in a black tie sort of way. I would love to take you up on your kind offer one day and I believe we are close as I'm at 6 and Westheimer and aren't you just down the road in SugarLand? Lets let the weather cool off so I can wear something nice lol!
I go up and down 290 every day for work... from Westheimer on 610 up to Jones on 290. I just had to pay $1,300 for a new windshield after some truck though a stone directly into it. Other items in the middle of the road I've dodged on 290 over the last couple years: -- An entire couch/sofa -- A cinder block -- An aluminum ladder -- A car upside down -- A car fully engulfed in flames -- Iced over overpasses -- Numerous dead dogs It's incredible to me the amount of crap people toss into the back of their pickup trucks and don't tie down // or tie down poorly.... And it always ends up in my lane when I'm doing 85.
I actually ran right over a brick in my truck around 2000/2001 with my passenger side front tire. I was waiting for a blow out. Luckily nothing happened. The Nitto's held up well. I've dodged plenty too. I don't know what it is, but 290 has gotten a lot worse in the last 5 years or so. Not sure about the issue with iced over overpasses? That's gonna happen anywhere. And it only happens once every couple years usually.
I accidently posted this in the DFW section but I had this unique spot this saturday. If my memory is correct this is the first TVR 280i I have seen that was not in a magazine, it was very cool. I was driving and did not have the chance for a pic but it was this variant but had TVR 280i on the sides (pic is from the net). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Funny, because I drive my car all the time. I've put about 10k miles on it in the past year and I have yet to be spotted...
Saw A Mercedes Mclaren SL 722 Stirling Moss....... It is in the Woodlands...... Couldn't belive there is one here in town...... But for that matter, just over a week ago, I saw TWO McLaren F1's. They are the FIRST (prototype) and LAST F1's made. BOTH sitting side by side, here in Houston.
