I'm a Stratos fan too as you can tell from my post about ICF. It's on my imaginary list of cars I'd like to see, but haven't been lucky enough to see. Fortunately, I was able to check Miura off that list . You can see some high res shots of the RS200 in my RUF gallery on webshots. http://rides.webshots.com/album/559954965LxQIVi
This morning coming back from the doctors office, not a Ferrari or Lambo but still impressive to say the least. RHD Nissan Skyline R34 on I30 west freeway heading west near Camp Bowie Blvd.
was it blue, siliver, white or black....there are around 10 to 20 skylines in the dfw area but not many R34's
White, from a distance I noticed the taillights & thought it was another riced out Honda Accord until I got closer. I had to research the differences between a R32 & R34, this looked more like a very clean R34. The grill & the rear spoiler were a dead give-away.
ya that one is a gt not a gtr the guy that got it was raped on the price......i think he paid 50 or 60K for it.....i sold them back in the day and i would have sold that car for 30K
I saw the same car today at Classic BMW while I was dropping off one of my cars in service. He followed me onto the Tollway.
Black Lotus Turbo Esprit on the loop in Tyler. 2001 or 2002 I believe. Pretty affordable to buy new. I wonder what the upkeep is like.
I checked the video, and this is the best I can offer; this is the closest shot of the rear I have. It looks like it has a license plate frame with two black words on top, but I can't read it. It was an overcast day, but I'm REALLY surprised I can't even see any numbers on the license plate...?! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Black Gallardo Superleggera at dinner last Tuesday. I guess Javier ditched the red 430. Also saw a silver 360 in Frisco yesterday afternoon. The 22" wheels and the spoiler didn't do anything for it.
Saw a guy in a yellow 360 Spyder, last night around Legacy/Tollway with a hot babe in the car, hahahaha j/k...it was his daughter, maybe 7 yrs old.
Is that Chris Hansen knocking on the door????. . . . . . . . . . . ."Why don't you have a seat right over here..."
I did some intel work on this SMU kid. He's the son of the attorney for the Shah of Iran. And there are two black Gallardos in the SMU area, the Superlegerra (all black w/wing), and the brat's Gallardo sans wing with yellow callipers. The clip would be the kid's.
At the Westin downtown, a beautiful grigio F360 Spyder with paper plates, guy by the name of Iviy. Lucky man. Car was flawless except for the bugs fried into the nose. Also was face to face with a silver Azure on Fitzhugh east of 75 and a Kleeman S Class at Campisi's. Not an exactly an exotic, but wouldn't argue the point on the highway. Leaving Ford stadium, I passed the Superleggera on the 75 access road. This was all on Saturday. Busy day...
VERY interesting! How did you find this out, or would you rather not say? I haven't seen the Superleggera, but then again, I graduated from SMU in 2006. When I went there, I had a few exotic car sightings over the 3.5 years. As a car fan, of course I remember every detail probably better than what I was learning in my classes... On Campus: 1. a male student driving a black NSX, first generation style with the flip up headlights 2. a red Lotus Esprit, estimated year....98+, had the large arched spoiler mounted towards the rear rather than aft the cabin, so I would assume it was closer to a 2001 model year...? I believe the owner actually lives in my apartment complex currently... 3. a red 360 Modena drove around bishop blvd the day we had some sort of carnival at SMU... I forgot what the event was called. 4. a red Dodge Viper GTS with a faculty/staff parking sticker 5. and of course the Lamborghini Gallardo as mentioned and photographed. Another car enthusiast friend sighted a Lamborghini Espada in the parking garage one day, and multiple friends mentioned an orange Gallardo to me located in the visitor lot at the north end of campus at least three separate times. Hillcrest was a good location for the occasional car sighting. I had my favorite car sighting there; a Verde Ithaca Lamborghini Murcielago, as well as a red and white Ford GT, and a red Pantera. All separate days, all probably separate years.
That was the info given to me. I'm unsure of the stature and history of the Shah, but he could have been a client back then, the timeframe could be right with the kid's age.
Also this weekend, not exotics, but beautiful and hard to find... A Late 50's Corvette (Red w/ cream inserts) near mockingbird and greenville, a blue NSX with matching wheels on McKinney (where the Gallardo was a few weeks back), and a new GT 500 on Legacy west of Alma...Also was terrified by the sound of a blown 409 in a 57 (I believe) Chevy Post at Greenville and Mockingbird. It was truly an awesome weekend. I also have noticed a new titanium colored M6 convertible in uptown. Once again, not exotics, but would love to have them in my garage...
I see this 57 Chevy at least twice a week on Greenville. This car is NOT a garage queen. He drives the hell out of it. J
Late post but spotted yesterday on the way into work around noon. Cream colored Bentley GTC with a tan soft top, first one I've yet to see.
Nice GTC at Park Place on Lemmon.. Black w/ Black top.. Saw a red one a while back on the tollway.. pretty damn nice looking.
