DFW Ferrari and Exotic Spotters

I saw 2 Astons on 75 @ Campbell headed south around 2pm on Thanksgiving. One was black on black wheels with red lip, the other was yellow on black wheels with a yellow lip. They were driving next to each other...i think they were both v8 vantage coupes. I have a tough time telling the difference between the models sometimes.

Edit...now that i just looked at pics...they were definitely both V8 Vantage Coupes...DB9 is longer and the DBS looks a lot different.

 

Early 90's dark blue Bentley Turbo R parked in front of the Subway sandwich shop at Montgomery Plaza.

 

Around lunch time this afternoon (Friday) my father said he spotted a charcoal color 599 GTB that had been t-boned by a 03+ Ford Explorer on Forest Lane & Inwood Rd. He said that the driver was a lady & she seemed to be okay, but the car was demolished. Unfortunately, his loaner phone does not have a camera, otherwise he'd have taken a pic.

Anyone know who it was?? Anyone else see it??

 

Uggh, yesterday must have been one of the most dangerous days for driving in the metroplex, I really hate hearing about accidents like that but at least the driver & passenger were ok.(As far as we know) I also hope it's no one we might know in the DFW area, there are some FChatters that are in line for delivery for a 599.

 

BUT, I did see an Aston Martin yesterday on the North Loop @ Hwy 110 N. Just caught a glimpse before turning onto 110.

I think it was a DB9 conv., but could have been a Vantage as well.
It was painted that all too common grey color you see so much of, well, not HERE that is, just about anywhere else you go in the world.

No Ferraris lately, but the weather has been a little less than desireable.

 

Dark Red 456 on the Tollroad at Mockingbird today around 1pm.

 

Saw the ol' Blue 308 with the dented rear-end drive by my house yesterday. Tonight I saw an R8. The carbon fiber panel behind the door is the same color as the car. It looks WAY better that way to me. I loved it in person. Better than at the car show. The body colored panel really helps the lines. Fell in love with it tonight.

456 on the tollway today was me trying to shuffle cars and get the oil changed on girlfriend's boxer. What a pain in the a$$. Those Porsches insist on using a plastic tube and insert instead of a normal oil filter.

 

Where was that? The theater looks familiar, but I can't decide whether that's Inwood Theater or the theater in Highland Park Village... or maybe even a different one.

I saw a red F430 on Lover's Lane driving west towards the Tollway at 8:45 this morning on my way to work. I think it's the same guy I saw a week or so ago.

Red 308 on Stemmons Fwy by AAC at around 11.15am

 

My 9 year old spotted a blue 308/328 at the drive through of McDonalds yesterday. Assuming it was near Campbell and 75.

Southbound? Probably was me in the 328. Interstingly enough, on the way home on 114 the throttle went to the floor. Thought the cable snapped. Actually the screw at the linkage to the throttle body worked its way out ( was recently adjusted) . Thank God for the tool kit. Easy fix and off and running in 5 minutes.

 

It was southbound sorry I was North bound and only got a passing look not many people carry a tool kit in the car nowadays

 

Who would ever think those allen wrenches would actually ever help when broken down on the side of the road.

 

I actually have feeler gages and a timing lamp in my garage I showed them to my son in law and he just laughed?????

 

Silver 360 coupe on Bellaire Dr. S. in far SW FTW today around 5.

 

We had a Porsche CGT towed in around that same time, that had been t-boned by a Ford Explorer as well.. driver of the CGT was ok, driver of the Ford took off ( supposedly ) Right rear 1/4 , engine cradle, wheels, brake rotors ( broken in pieces ) etc.. not a pretty sight.

That is just crazy! Maybe the driver of the Explorer didn't have insurance.

 

7:30 this morning..

377 and 2871 in Benbrook. Mist rolling in, moisture on the roads.. Light turns red and I roll to a stop in the midst of my mundane 35 mile commute to work.

Sitting at the light enjoying my breakfast.. mmmm McDonald's hashbrowns.. Watching the traffic roll off of 2871 to the left and the right.. Last car off of 2871 turning south.. the red caught my eye.

Beautiful red 512TR.. totally transformed my attitude this morning. Looked to be on a spirited drive with a red Chevy/GMC truck towards Cresson. I tried to catch him by Whiskey Flats, but he was moving on the north side of 80, and I wasn't in the mood to press it. Not sure where he ended up.

I live right on the other side of the bridge from there (lakeshore and 66) but have not yet seen the Ford Gt or Porche CGT. Wonder if the two have the same owner?

 

It is always at the intersection of 66 and Lakeshore I have also spotted a red TR driving through the Shores
