DFW Ferrari and Exotic Spotters

I am seeing several of those yellow gallardos driving around town. I swear I see at least a two or three a week. I check the plates to see if they are the same cars; sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't. They are becoming really popular as their price point has come down a lot and the power is well documented. I just can't get past the audi parts on the inside. Maybe I will one day and buy one for grins. I like the lines.

 

Last I checked the Rapide is not yet a production car.

Could you be seeing the Jaguar XF?? The rear looks very Aston-ish.

Could be. I'm not familiar with the XF, but I do know that some former Aston designers are now with Jaguar now that they have split from Ford. Regardless, it is a beautiful car, regardless of make...

 

I did forget a spot from Halloween. There was also a black GTR, which I am tired of already, on Greenville passing in front of the Billiard Bar sometime that night... Yesterday, I noticed about 4 Vipers. One, a 'vert, black, at Firewheel. Woman driving with daughter co-piloting. The others I don't remember the location. No offense to the few Viper owners here, but I'm seeing them way too much, same as the yellow Gallardos in the area ( you're not alone with the thought of oversaturation of that model/color combo )...

 

Saw that one too... except on Friday night w/different driver (male I think). WAYYY too plentiful, although I'd like to see a yellow gallardo

 

Just take a drive up Preston north of LBJ, or to Preston/Forest...I believe we stay fairly close to each other, and I also believe we drive similar vehicles if memory serves me. We should have a fun run or something before old man winter beats down on us. This is for everyone else too... Just a suggestion...

 

Maybe not too exotic, but I followed/was followed by a Delorean this morning on Grand Ave. and then on to I30.

Then from the Galleria on the top of the parking garage I saw an Aston Martin V8 Vantage (black), Ferrari 575M Superamerica (red), Ferrari 365/4 GTB AKA Daytona on top of a tow truck (black), Bentley Continental GTC, Acura NSX, Viper I think, etc...

I should have just said Ferrari Daytona. It wasn't wrecked or anything I just think they were transporting it. Also heard another ferrari/lamborghini but couldn't find it lol

 

Friday night, a dark QP on Preston across from Bachendorf's.. and a silver on silver R8 @ the W later that night.

 

Sorry for the late post, but I had to work a 36 hour weekend with no sleep On Friday, I think, in Plano around 75 and George Bush, a red with white stripes Shelby Cobra roadster (kit???), then a white Gallardo south of the Fairmont in downtown on Saturday. Then a red NSX with chrome BBS wheels in the M-Streets today....

 

11/7/08 I was a in silver Lotus Exige and saw red F430 and black F430 at West Village. The Black might have been a Scud...? Not sure, didn't get to see it very well.

11/9/08 red 355GTS and black F430 Spider Turtle Creek. I love F355's. My friend tried to run the Exige against the 355. They both looked and sounded sounded great!

 

It was Astons - a - plenty at Highland Park Village last night for the preview showing of the new Bond film.

 

My wife saw this at Mockingbird Station yesterday. Its cool that she sent it to me AND she actually knew it was a 430, however, it still incriminates her as now I need to check the credit cards <Gulp>!

Park Place Porsche. I thought for sure it was heading to the Grand Opening of Dream Garage tonight. But after looking around DG a couple hours, I never found it.

Speaking of which, there were several fine examples in attendance tonight. But those don't count as " spotted " since they were all parked together, right?> LOL <

I saw a black on black gallardo on oak lawn and maple coming from 35, then today I saw. Shelby cobra (the older ones '60s model) blue and white stripes with a number 13 on the side, might be the same owner cause I saw it in the same spot as the gallardo and around the same time, like 1:30 young guy too early 30s

 

The Dream Garage opening party was quite and event. Lots of great cars on display, with 10 of them provided by our
friends at RUF, as well as multiple cars from other f/chatters. Those included, 250 and 275 Ferrari's, a nice Dino, multiple Lambo's and Pbugs, as well as some great American classics. Didn't take any pics, but the people watching was pretty
darn stout too. Thanks to Dream Garage for a fun night.
