DFW Ferrari and Exotic Spotters

Burgundy Tesla (I think) in SW FTW. I've seen it twice in the last few days; looks like an Elise only a little lower and longer.

Summer Lee and Ridge Rd in Rockwall: silver Bentley Continental GT, black DB9 Volante, and orange Lotus Exige, all within a matter of minutes, not in a group or anything...

At the Harbor:
Maserati GranTurismo (black) valeted and silver Bentley Continental GT in the far parking lot.

Not bad but no Ferrari

 

Red F430 heading east on 114 this early afternoon.

Yellow 360 spyder in the middle of the track at Texas Motor Speedway during qualifying.

 

Just saw one of the finest examples of a 360 I've ever seen. For some reason, this car just struck me.

Heh. My first semester was Fall 2006.

Hmmm...I guess I should've gotten out of my dorm more! I don't remember seeing any of these. I've seen a couple of Maserati Quattroporte's parked on the boulevard, along with a number of Bentley Continentals. There's a blue Bentley GTC that parks near the Catholic Center frequently. I think I remember seeing the Viper GTS my freshman year, but I haven't seen it at all lately.

I have yet to see a Ferrari or Lambo parked anywhere on campus, but I've seen a Diablo cruise down the boulevard and a yellow Gallardo on Airline once. Haven't seen the black Gallardo if it's still there.

Someone does park a fourth gen. black Viper outside the gym in the mornings. That's pretty much it for on-campus sightings...it's interesting that I've seen more exotics there since moving off-campus.

Only exotic I've seen in the wild lately was a gray R8 at the gas station on the corner of Fitzhugh and 75 a couple days ago.

On its own there's nothing particularly exotic about an E39 M5. The plate makes it noteworthy:

That's the one. It was dark outside, but it's the only one I know of with wheels as massive as it had...

 

I've been in A.A.C. for most of the past week or so. Here are a few I remember....

The blue Gallardo roadster from Lambo Dallas was at the W after the Britney Spears show. A blacked out Superlegerra saturday night around 11:00 growling onto Live Oak from Pearl. Red Viper haulin east on 30 around Grand earlier that day.
A friend spotted a black 599 at the W last Friday morning.

There were others, mostly Bentleys, but not memorable...

 

Was at Sewell Cadillac, and a man is trading in his 2006 Aston Martin Vanquish. It's a medium/dark silver with black interior. The underside of the front fascia has the rubber piece hanging off like a curb was a little too high when he parked somewhere. Nice to see though, if you're interested in one, I'm sure it'll be on their inventory soon.

 

Saw a silver Maserati GranTurismo being towed yesterday at Independence and 190, it had apparently just rear-ended a Kia. Front of the Maser was banged up pretty good. Bad way to end the work day.

One I forgot. Not a Ferrari, but noteworthy... Stuck in the backup of a 5 car wreck on 35 downtown around 11:30 at night, a dark Hammann BMW in the lane next to me. Sounded great at idle...

 

yellow Murcielago at Bourland Field on 377 near Cresson today at around 2:30.

 

Wednesday; Yellow F430 and grey Gran Turismo parked next to each other at Barnes & Noble off of University in Fort Worth.

 

After the what show? I thought the state fair livestock show was in October.

This afternoon, a red 355 GTS parked in front of Discount Tire Co. off Camp Bowie Blvd.

 

Went out to the galleria yesterday... 575, 599, two 360s including a Euro version, 430, and a 328 (grey) all on the Tollway. Then a Diablo and a bunch of bentley's/astons/masers.

A friend swore he saw that black/black Veyron at Northpark friday, the one spotted here back in december.
