Normally I wouldn't bother starting a thread about this, but I know Ferrari is kinda finicky about people modding their cars. My car, my business, of course--but I was recently at a Ferrari C&C and I don't think I saw any Ferraris that had wraps.

My F8 is silver and I was thinking about wrapping the roof, A, and C pillars in gloss black, as I like that look in some of the Tributos but mine didn't come that way from the factory.

Being new to the Ferrari brand, will I get blacklisted  in Maranello for doing that?

lol, you are totally fine to wrap it however you want. Ferrari does not care about things like that. If you change the badges or alter the Cavallino and then also plaster it all over the internet, then they can have a problem. But wrapping your car any color you want is just fine... even pink. Where pink and other shades of it are the only color Ferrari won't paint themselves, you can still do it as long as you aren't advertising it and marketing it and posting it where it gets mega attention. Paris Hilton and the Kardashian girl did theirs pink and got 'blacklisted' from buying new but that's because they were high profile people and got too much attention for it.

However, as an extreme detailer, I can't recommend ever doing vinyl wraps as no matter how well they are installed, they look terrible. If you are going to do your roof black, PLEASE USE BLACK PPF. It's SOOOOOOOO much better and will be as smooth as glass with no orange peel either. It's expensive material but WELL worth it.

Im quite sure Ferrari does not care what some radom guy do to a "high production car" from them. Regardless how much attention it gets.

Make it the way you want it, its your car and your taste that counts.

Anyone who would actually compare paint quality to a wrap is otherwise known as a fake car guy.

Ferrari only cares about the trademarked logo and brand representation. It's not totally up to them either. They literally HAVE to warn against litigation to protect the integrity of their active copyright protection.

+1 this. was just explaining this to my friend's son who was asking if Ferrari has said or done anything about my wrapped cars over the years. I told him it's the TM use by celebrities who have their own brands or businesses and imply that they're affiliated with Ferrari in their posts/videos.

Plenty of wrapped Ferrari's at my local Cars and Coffee, including the grigio roof on my 458, I bought it that way from my local Ferrari dealer. I ordered the Portofino M with BIC2 Nero (that is how you get the glossy black roof, I believe it was an $8,000 option).
