    It's a little far fetched to say Ferrari and Apple join forces. They hired Cue to sit on their board. Whatever his input will be his and not apple's.

    Usually when you are hired as a board member, you are hired for yourself and represent yourself and your ideas. It might bring the companies together and this might be a preclude to them joining forces as it will let Cue in into what Ferrari will need in terms of technology etc..

    Apple has a long history of collaborating shifting board members around.

    Steve Jobs->Disney
    Tim Cook->Nike
    A couple more shared Google's board

    Apple would hardly let it happen if it wasn't a company effort
