    Fair point.

Round 24 is still going on. You guys are correct with the SCCA and it being in the Northeast Division. That will narrow it down ALOT!

Round 25: Here's a car from Pebble. Name it.

We have a winner :). Although I cannot confirm, I believe you are right on the serial as IIRC the 0268AM is the only left of its kind.

Round 27...Now that we've gotten a couple questions out of the way, back to round 24. I will make this a two point question. SCCA is the correct club and that point will be awarded to the first person who mentioned that, I will have to go back and check. The region, however, has not been named, although it is int he NE division, which narrows it down to maybe 8-10 regions, a couple have already been mentioned. Best of luck!

Since you were the first one to come up with the SCCA (and correct division) you are awarded one point. One point remains for the correct region.

They did not sell the cars to approved buyers, they leased the cars to them.

As part of the sales contract with buyers they instituted the policy of first rights of refusal on first resale on the car - they (Ferrari) get to buy it back first from the original owners if they desire - regardless of time place or situation.

What was the source of this information? Do you have a link to anything that corroborates this? Too many people tried without success finding anything on this for it to just go by without some verification...

Does anyone remember way back when FerrariChat.com first started we had 3 different 10 question quizzes with pictures and all? I think we only had it around 2001-2002.

There is something on my long todo list that I think everyone in this thread will be thrilled about. Be patient. Might need some help once we get going.

This was the procedure for purchasing a new F50 in 1996, according to an article in Car & Driver:

    1) Fill out a questionnaire from Ferrari NA, answering questions like "What Ferraris do you currently own?", How many Ferraris have you sold in your lifetime and for how much?", Have you raced any Ferraris?", and "Do you plan to race your F50?". If your answers were satisfactory "then maybe your name goes on a list of guys they'll consider leasing a F50 to."

    2) If you approved for a lease, you make a down payment of $240,000, plus sales tax, luxury tax, etc.

    3) You make 24 monthly lease payments of $5600/month.

    4) You make a final lump payment of $150,000. Then the car belongs to you. This particular article didn't mention anything about Ferrari having right of first refusal on resale at that point.

The full "price as tested" is shown as $560,640. This includes lease interest and costs of $37,400, luxury tax of $36,240, gas guzzler tax of $7700, and freight of $1350.

Every question I ask has a physical source of documentation. In this case it was an article from the New York Times dated February 24, 1960 entitled "New Auto for Grind."

In lieu of the recent Miami Vice movie, here's on about the show..

Round 30...What was the car that was used when the first episode aired AND who was the original owner?
