this year i missed the techno classica at essen/germany, but a friend was there and told me of some interesting ferrari. now i found some pics in the "europe" section. i try to verify or find out the s/n of some cars. the Zagato bodied berlinetta was told to be based on GTE 4019GT. the 410 Superamerica is 1015SA ? i saw the car three years ago at palm beach in good condition in pale blue color. what chassis number is the 250 MM ? is the 275 GTB4 09445 ? and finally - was the breadvan sold ? price ? i hope some of the experts have been there and can answer my questions.
Lots of photos from Jbanzai, Julio, in the European section http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=135717361#post135717361

How many of these are there? 515, 537 and 665. Where did this come from? Thanks. john Image Unavailable, Please Login
John, if this thing has to be a clone of 0515GT : the trunk is wrong, the hood is wrong, the wheels are wrong, the interior is wrong, the nose is wrong.... another boring replica...
Being seriously allergic to replicas I can't resist and have to agree with Cyril. The real 0515 GT is blue with a white roof, the replica is black with a silver roof (like Peter Kaus' 0665 GT used to be). See photos here of the REAL 0515 GT in front of the owner's mansion in Beverly Hills/CA. COPYRIGHT MARCEL MASSINI Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you built a replica of a 300 SL to this accuracy, everyone (including the dog next door, the one living on borrowed time) would be laughing at you!
I believe the replica is of 0537, not 0515. I owned both, and they are similar except for rear (trunk), hood, side vents, and rear fenders. It would be nice to see proper painted wheels, and where are the bumpers?
it's true that this replica looks like more 0537GT than 0515GT but again, several details are wrong. I will never understand the interest in owning such horrors ?? And still the same evidence : another real Ferrari "destroyed"...
It is interesting to compare the rear of all LWB Zagatos. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great comparison; thanks, Boudewijn! Is it just me, or does it seem that as Zagato made more they became less successful?
These Zagato's demonstrate the pursuit of artistic expression. Subtle differences, exploring form within a vision of similar style. I've never seen these cars together. Mr boudewijn , very nice comparison.
Maybe I'm wrong but I guess the GTE based "Zagato" replica is a replica of #0537 GT. I think this is the same car I saw in Mr Marc De Pescara's workshop in Paris (Forza automobiles - 15 avenue Rapp) a few months back. The car seemed to be for sale and was advertised as "250GT Zagato 1958" but without any details. Curiously the car had a dark blue leather interior (wich the Essen replica have not). I'm confused. Was the car I saw in Paris a real one or a replica ? Mr Massini maybe ? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is Ellena #0757GT based Zagato replica, until 2 years ago dutch owned. The Essen car is 250 GTE 2+2 #4019GT.
