    Never understood why people tape up the headlights. Is that in case they get into an accident the shards don't go everywhere?

    it's to prevent the rock chips, the M3 owner sometimes tape up the entire front & sides w/ the blue tape. The porsche owner got some more $$$ so they buy a sheet of that 3M clear bra stuff and lay it over the front. It's pretty funny :)
