So I'm thinking of buying a Ferrari polo... Is it weird buying one? I love the Ferrari brand, but I'm not sure walking around one is cool... I've seen people with caps and bags but not clothes. Anyone brought any?
I have a Mercedes hat, polo, and t-shirt I wear often. Then again I don't mind looking like a ****** (Feminine cleansing product)
I prefer the more subtle designs with the Cavallino on it. If I wear logo clothing, I try to wear only one piece at a time. Either a polo shirt or a hat or a jacket, but not all at the same time. .
My shop here did some "tone on tone" polos with just the small Cavallino rampante.....the guy that ordered them was pleased.....
For example, here is a shirt with just the small Cavallino logo on it. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
thanks for the replies... @toggie... yeah I was going to go for the small cavallino, i have 2 other ralph lauren polos with the big horses, I just think they are a bit too showy-off, this is a little more subtle which I like, I also love the ferrari script on the back. @BigTex... hopefully I will as well!!! @BLAMPEE... Ill check them sweats out as well... maybe something to wear around the house and on cold days. thirteendog@ haha I guess theres nothing wrong with that! My usual appearence is a t-shirt, black bomber jacket http://images.canadianlisted.com/nlarge/mens-diesel-bomber-jacket_5333486.jpg jeans and white trainers... every style to their own! I like to feel comfortable in my clothing style but also to others as well... I'm quite a fashionable guy I guess.
I don't own anything with Ferrari on it except a key ring. No cap, shirt, etc. It's not my thing. Now my wife looks great in her Ferrari top.
I have 4 t-shirts and a jacket. Two of the shirts have a small shield in the top left and the other two are less subtle. I like all of them but I don't wear them as much as I should. I used to have a shirt I got in Breckenridge, CO that had a prancing moose and had "Breckenridge" in Ferrari lettering. It was cool I thought. I can never find shirts outside the dealerships' store and online (not paying for shipping from Italy to US for a T-shirt) EDIT: I forgot why you started this thread when I typed that. It's really just personal preference. Not sure what to say about that exactly. Sorry.
I have a windbreaker that I have yet to wear (got it on sale for $40 on the Ferrari site, only thing I've seen with Ferrari on it that wasn't overpriced) and a few hats that were given to me as gifts - also never worn but hung up as decoration. I figured the wind breaker might get some use at track days or similar. I looked at some of the Polo shirts and tshirts and couldn't find one in the right color combination that just had the small cavallino and no scuderia banner or other banner messing things up. It's tough to find gear understated enough to be worth it...
+360 Great conversation starter. Wondering if Ferrari underwear would improve my sex life. Nah. Impossible. Really.
Wear whatever you want. I have many Ferrari T-shirts, shoes, hats and a watch. I don't care what people think. I bought most of them before I owned a Ferrari anyway. I usually don't wear all of them at the same time though. I wore my 2008 Ferrari F1 world champ T-shirt in Maranello last year. Got a lot of complements. When I went to the Ferrari factory, I wore my Pista di Fiorano T-shirt and got a lot of complements as well. Nate
+1 Life is too short to go around worrying about what someone else thinks of what you wear. If you like it, enjoy to hell with what other people think.
I have a hat I purchased at the museum in Maranello and an FCA shirt my wife purchased for me as a gift. The hat I've started to wear regularly as I decided I'll like it more when it's well worn in and the shirt gets no use as I'm no longer an FCA member. Maybe I'll use it as a painting shirt? Until a few months ago the hat hung on the wall and was blending into the background. Too pretty for that so I pulled it off and started wearing it when I walk the dog or go to car shows or a drive in the wifes convertible. I do use my Ferrari coffee mug nearly every day. Giallo fly with a print of many clubs and shields and other Ferrari emblems, it's cheerful. It also reminds me of my trip to Maranello where I purchased it.
I have a Ferrari hat that I'm wearing right now, but I don't wear it when I'm driving the Ferrari. Seems like overkill.
I call it layering if I wear Ferrari clothing in the car. Seems overkill. I think when my hat gets old and faded I'll be more likely to wear it in the car. They need to both show patina to match properly.
Amen to that. What's with all the threads worrying about what other people think of what your'e wearing or being embarrassed about owning / driving a Ferrari? Just get out and drive, life's too short.
I own a Lambo and have a few pieces of Ferrari clothing. And FCA regalia. And a couple of Lambo items. And Ducati. But good lord don't get me started on how many beautiful orange & maroon Virginia Tech HOKIE items I own...
Geez ! Live YOUR life not theirs. Forget all this PC Commie crap. It's your life, live it the way you want and screw the naysayers. If you want to wear a bunch of Ferrari stuff... fine, if you don't that's fine too. Just be true to yourself.
I bought this one; very subtle, nice material and excellent quality. Warning, this polo is a slim fit and the sizes run at least one smaller. http://store.ferrari.com/en/clothing/menswear/polo-shirts/ferrari-men-s-short-sleeved-polo-shirt.html Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
