I've gotta say, when I had the Ferrari shield stickers on my Sable, the only responses I got were people who got a kick out of it. Having passed by the Algar Ferrari dealership MANY times, I often was side by side with Ferraris - if the driver looked over and noticed, 99.9% would smile and laugh. Some would point and give me a thumbs up. :)

The good ole 35mph motorscooter with the sticker got a good humored laugh from nearly everyone, since the emblem was HUGE.

It's all good humored fun and admiration.

There's an implicit, latent even, emulation of the real product by where the stickers are placed; i.e., the fenders. "Real" Ferraris have the badges on the fenders, and therefore, placing Scuderria badges on a car other than a Ferrari may come off as an attempt to emulate the real deal. Whether or not you, or anyone else, intends to fool passers by, is your own prerogative; obviously, you're not trying to fool anyone into thinking the Sebring is a Ferrari, but the placement is "suggestive." Regarding Ferrari stickers on Ducat’s. Neither of mine ever had Ferrari stickers on them, nor did I adorn them with any of the Ducati Corsa/ Racing stickers. Why? Because it wasn't a race bike, so why pretend? At any rate, if you’re a fan of something, there's nothing "wrong" with a bumper sticker, but overt emulation is "questionable."

While not Ferrari badges, I *do* want to put a full Subaru World Rally decal set on my WRX, with an "R. Alexander" and a Canada flag on the rear side windows. There are several vendors who sell them, but they're on the pricey side. The wife also says she has to have her own car before then, as she's not as keen on being seen in it when it's like that :) (I have long term plans to do some SCCA rally with it, post-warranty and after grad school's done).

If people really thought I was trying to emulate another car, I'm a little disappointed I didn't get any, "Hey, why do you have a Mustang sticker on your car?" comments!!! :)

Every GP weekend I show my support for Ferrari by sporting a Scudetto flag on our vehicles. Im not trying to pass the mustang/jeep/truck off as a Ferrari, just showing support and displaying my passion. When people go as far as to remove manufacturs badging and replace them with 'Ferrari', thats a little different.

You could buy a 400i and put Citroen or Renault badges on it and 99.5% of the population would have no idea it wasn't a French car. Actually, I think 99% of the US population couldn't recognize their symbols anyways.

I can't see the problem in putting Ferrari stickers on anything. I have them on my lawnmower! The thing I like about Italy is that you see many cars/trucks/bikes with Ferrari stickers on. Not a problem as far as I'm concerned. I have my 'Ferrari Club Maranello' stickers on my Ford Focus.
I doubt if anyone seeing a Honda with Ferrari stickers on it would think it was a Ferrari. If they do then what's the problem? Some people don't know much about cars.
