Selling on behalf of a long time owner/collector who had several BBs(365, BB 512 and BB 512i). I believe that this set is from a BB 512 as it includes the long spark plug wrench, not the short version usually fitted in the attache tray. Everest brand spanners as used in 365 and early 512. It appears to be unused, the tools have possibly never been out of the trays. The foam inside the lid has deteriorated(common) but the trays are intact and unbroken, original keys still attached. Concours ready, $5500 ono. Please PM with genuine interest.

I believe this is the second version of the attache toolkit. The first is sometimes referred to as the Samsonite kit, has a hard shell case with rounded corners; spanners are Everest brand. These kits were supplied with some late Daytona production and 365 GT4/BB. At some point the factory switched to this version(also with Everest spanners), I am guessing late in 365 or early 512 BB production. The Everest spanners and the Carello pistol grip oil filter wrench indicate mid-1970s. There were a few subsequent versions as well with different contents. The last BB 512i cars were supplied with a tool roll.
Not an expert by any means, I welcome input from BB owners. Newman are you out there?

you sure that fits over the hard attaché style tool case?

That looks like a later pouch for a 512i, that the later style (similar to a 308/328 ) tool roll fits inside.

Just curious, as I have all these items and there is no way mine fits.

    That’s a tidy looking kit.

Can you tell me the overall length of the spark plug tool, please?

I've seen many similar offered for sale with many different lengths, often also with detail variations.

The one in your picture looks more like the parts book illustration than any other I’ve seen.

I realise you won’t want to split the set for sale, I’m just interested to know what length I should be looking for.

    Thanks.

I tried it yesterday, the pouch is just a tick too small and I didn't want to force it. Quite possibly some shrinkage, it is over 40 years old. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I believe the pouch is for the cars delivered with tool roll only, as the briefcase will not fit

The attache toolkits were introduced circa 1973-4 toward the end of Daytona production and into 365 BB and GT series. The earliest versions used Everest brand spanners and had the Carello "pistol grip" oil filter wrench. As per the owner, this kit came from a 365 GT4/BB that was sold in the mid to late 1980s to a collector in NY state. Open to realistic offers, thanks for your interest.
