So I decided to put in a lift in my garage. Needed to move my recently purchased 430 into another garage away from construction. Wouldn't you know it, my car decided to throw an engine code, and right at at 4:50PM on a Friday!

After owning a 355 I am used to expensive engine lights, so this kind of thing gives me the willies, and understandable anxiety. I called Ferrari of Central NJ service department (my car just got serviced there 4 weeks ago). Got service dept. Mgr on his way out the door. He told me what the code meant, and how it was generated. Turned out to be a slow cranking battery cased a misfire code. I cleared it, and whala! no more issues.

The service manager stayed on the phone with me past 5PM. Walked me thru the diagnosis, and helped me resolve everything well past quitting time. He put my mind at ease so I did not have to worry about it all weekend. I think that kind of customer care deserves a expression of appreciation, and mention on this board. Nice to see it from a Ferrari shop.

I use Ferrari of CNJ as well. Have got great service from them as well both on sales side and service with my 430 Spider. Did you deal with Charlie?

BTW which lift did you get and who installed it? I've been wanting to put one in my garage but contacted two companies here in NJ and nobody would call back to even give pricing, options or info! Guess business is so good they don't need to sell or install another lift? Either that or typical drop the ball companies. If you had a good experience with a lift company I could use the referral.

Little things like this create customers for life. I wish more business owners and their employees understood this concept.

Glad everything worked out for you. Ferrari Central NJ, way to go!!

I usually deal with Charlie, but when I called he went home already. I think it was Dan? I spoke to.

    The lift is:
    DMR-1375659
Car Lift, MaxJax, Portable, 2-Post, Black/Yellow Powdercoated, 6,000 lb. Capacity, Each
    (Mfr. #: 1375659)

From Summit Racing for $2300 delivered.

Installed it with my 17 y/o son.

Just had to rent impact drill/bits from SYMCO, and get hydraulic fluid at Home Depot.

Look on youtube. Plenty of videos and reviews.
I like the portability, and ability to put away when not in use. Only drawback - not high enough to stand under. Have to use a stool, and work sitting down.

    Nice! Glad you shared.

My dealer's service department has gone above and beyond for me on more than one occasion and always gives me fair estimates and fair prices (Ferrari of Scottsdale).

Ferrari of CNJ is an outstanding dealer! I have purchased two cars from them and I have dealt with Dan at the service department in numerous times. Great and honest guy!
