More "branding." I guess the look cool, but other than having the shield, a coat of scuderia, and some carbon fibre, I don't see what else makes it worth $200. It seems about $100 more than a normal model from Olympus with comparable magnification and lens diameter. But hey, I guess it's another "race accessory."

I have to agree. Olympus does a $h!t job with merchandizing for Ferrari. They jack up the price for otherwise mundane products and think they can get away with it just because it's Ferrari red with the cavalinno rampante.

Other companies do a better job, I find. I'm writing this comment on my Acer Ferrari 3200 laptop, which comes jam-packed with features and top-shelf components, and comes in at a value.

I'm wearing Fila Ferrari sneakers which I bought on eBay for $25. Well worth it.

I find Oregon Scientific might charge a bundle for their Ferrari-branded clocks, but they're really cool. The trim seems really nice, and it's a unique product. (I like the Maranello best.) Just have to find one at a good price.

Olympus' Ferrari camera does not strike me as a very good one. It has a small lense, sub-par megapixel count, and is otherwise mundane, except for the flashy Ferrari branding. The binoculars, for that price, seem like the same deal. But expect to see a few at the race track, anyway. Just not around my neck.

Am I the only one who thinks that all of this just cheapens the Ferrari name??? BTW skip the Oregon Scientific clocks. They are so user unfriendly to operate you almost need a CS degree to figure it all out.

I suppose I can understand where you're coming from, but I don't agree. I won't ever own a Ferrari, so these items are as close as I'm going to get!
