Dear Ferrarichat community, I just bought my first ferrari couple months ago which happens to be a 2010 California. I checked the europarts in regards to the breakpads and came across the brembo breaks for the front brake , part number 70003110 for 672 pounds and for the rear brake , part number 70002811 for 679.13 pounds. Please correct me if i am wrong. But i think these are the right ones per my research and costs in total over 1300 Pounds. I felt that they are a bit costly therefore i started doing a research. I have done lots of research came across brembo brand again but not under ferrari original parts numbers but still brembo which costs in total like 530 euros. I saw the following 2 detailed posts about the topic in the community already.But I am confused than ever before since I am a rookie at the moment . I am not 100% sure if i found the correct fits for my car and need your support to confirm. You’re not the only one who is confused by brake pad fit. If you are going to do the work yourself you may end up buying the set you think are correct and then comparing them to your originals when they arrive. You can always return them if they are the wrong ones. But that shouldn’t be necessary, as many suppliers have knowledgeable people who can help you on the phone when you order.
Thanks Bill, the issue is that my order is from Europe and I am based in UAE so returning is a bit of a hassle. The suppliers go by the book and sometimes there may be cheaper alternatives even with the same brand and same quality, please correct me if i am wrong. Couple occasions, I came across the similar breakpads from the same brand such as brembo, the same size and thickness and shape but one for ferrari and one for another car and almost identical with couple mm. One costs 1000 usd and the other is like 300 usd so when i ask the compatibility questions to such details, the suppliers are sometimes not able to answer such a question. Any place where we can confirm the breakpad length, width, thickness with shape so that i can be sure , i get the right breakpad for my ferrari with a better price ? not sure if it makes sense?
Those links you copied into your original post have drawings of the pads with the dimensions on them, so you could try removing one of yours and comparing those measurements to yours.
that i know of course. the problem is that my car is in repair with the insurance for a month and i dont have access to it.So i am asking if anyone have an experience with these measurements , so i dont need to wait the car and and pull out the breaks after.
No need. If you want the measurements, just go to Pagids website and look up the 458 pads. Same pad and size. The ones he linked are way too small and a compound for regular iron rotors. Best bet is to get Pagid RSC1 pads. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
